What's the latest on COVID?

Answer

Thanks to vaccines restrictions will be lifted in Oregon after June 30. If you have been vaccinated you will not be expected to wear a mask or be socially distanced at events. Guests should feel free to do whatever makes them feel most comfortable! Over 95% of our guests are vaccinated. We are so excited to have a somewhat "normal" celebration after such a challenging 18 months.

What is the wedding shuttle schedule?

Answer

Shuttles will depart from the Hood River Hotel to The Orchard at the following times: -1st shuttle: 2:45pm -2nd shuttle: 3:25pm Please plan on taking the 1st shuttle so that we have enough room on the 2nd shuttle. If the 1st shuttle fills up and you have to wait for the 2nd shuttle, there is a bar conveniently located in the air conditioned Hood River Hotel lobby. If you are on the 1st shuttle or arrive early on your own, drinks will be available at the venue to keep you cool while you wait for the ceremony to begin. Guests can arrive as early as 3pm, but the venue asks that you please not arrive any earlier. Shuttles will also bring guests back to Hood River Hotel after the reception at the following times: -1st shuttle: 9pm -2nd shuttle: 9:45pm

What will the weather be like?

Answer

July in Hood River SHOULD be hot and sunny (average 82) but this is Oregon so there is always a chance of rain. It can be quite windy in the Gorge so plan outfits accordingly unless you're going for a Marilyn Monroe moment.

What should I wear?

Ceremony & Reception: Summer Cocktail Attire (suits, cocktail dresses, full length dresses optional) -We want our wedding to be a fun, bright, and colorful celebration! Please feel free to come dressed in your favorite summer colors. -Please no jeans, shorts, or flip flops. -The ceremony is on grass and there is some gravel on the property so plan shoes accordingly. Friday Welcome Party: Dressy Casual (nice shorts and sundresses are acceptable) After Party: wedding attire or whatever your heart desires! Feel free to come as you are from the wedding reception or slip into something more comfortable or festive. Brunch: Casual - pajamas, athletic wear, wedding attire from the night before. No rules here.

How can I get around?

Answer

There is no Lyft or Uber in Hood River. We repeat - there is NO LYFT OR UBER IN HOOD RIVER. We know. Downtown Hood River is very walkable. The Hood River Hotel (wedding block, after party location, brunch location) is downtown as well as Three Rivers Grill (welcome party location). We will provide shuttle service to and from the wedding venue. Buses will pick up and drop off at the Hood River Hotel - more details on exact schedule to come. We will also provide shuttle service from the after party to within 5 miles of Hood River Hotel for late night drop offs. You are welcome to drive yourself to and from the venue but please do so responsibly.

Can I drive myself to the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! You are more than welcome to drive to the wedding venue. If you need to leave your car overnight though, you must pick it up by 8am on Sunday. Any cars left past 8am will be towed.

How can I get home from the afterparty?

Answer

Late night shuttles will be provided until 1:45am. These can take you from the Hood River Hotel to wherever you are staying as long as it is within 5 miles. If you are further than this, Gorge Taxi Service is available at (541) 399-5060.
