Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort

This is where our ceremony & reception will take place. This is the central location of the resort and closest to the events. However, this is not the only lodging option. There are several condominium buildings in the resort that will be linked below. We have a room block set up from January 7-11th (Thursday-Monday). Room rates for 2 people per room are $315 (taxes, resort fee included). Rooms can fit 4 people, but are subject to additional resort fees. The resort fee includes access to their amazing pool, kayaks, bikes, and a guided golf cart ecotour around the golf course through the rainforest. link will be made available soon.

Stay In Costa Rica Condominios

These are the condominiums within the resort that offer lodging for up to 8 people per condo. We recommend staying at the following condominiums as they offer the closest proximity to the events: 1. Bella Vista - Located right next to the pool/beach club, which also has a walking path to the Marriott. (~8 min walk to the Marriott through the beach club) 2. Colina - Located across the street/between the Marriott and pool/beach club. There is a staircase at the back of the complexes that will guide you to either the marriott or pool/beach club. (~10 min walk to the Marriott) 3. Veranda - Located across the street from the pool/beach club. (~10-15 min walk to the Marriott) Code meghan&luke for 30% off nightly pricing from 1/5-1/15. VRBO & Airbnb

If you should choose not to book a condo directly with the resort, you will not get the group booking discount or food/bev discounts. However, sometimes owners discount their property more on VRBO/ AirBnB. We have linked some condos that we think would be great options for bigger groups or families (all still within the resort). Jaco

Jaco is the town just outside the resort. It is a beach and surf town. There are several hotels in this town, but you will need to have a rental car to get yourself to and from the resort. Jaco is safe and affordable, but we recommend staying within the resort for ease of transportation and proximity.

Flight

Fly into SJO

Costa Rica has two international airports. Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in Alajuela/San José, which is the largest and central hub in Costa Rica. SJO is two hours from the resort. Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia is still only a three hour drive from the resort. If you plan on extending your stay to see some more of the rainforests and natural wonders of Costa Rica, LIR might be a good option to consider. There are occasionally better prices and direct flights here. We have flight discounts to SJO through United Airlines available via the links below.

Travel Note

Shuttle to the Resort

We are working to secure the best possible airport transfer rates for everyone. Currently, we expect the rate to be around $140 per vehicle (each way). Most vehicles can seat up to 12 passengers, making this a great option whether you want to coordinate with a group arriving at the same time or travel on your own. Please share your travel plans with us! If you'd like, we can let you know if other guests are on your flight so you can coordinate rides.

Rental Car

Hertz and Others

We have a group rate from Hertz using CDP 2187703. Booking directly through a providers website is recommend. If you see hard to believe prices from third party websites or non name brand companies, they will almost always add on lots of fees on site. Please note that driving in costa rica is a little chaotic, with mostly single lane roads. That being said, we have always rented a car and driven from SJO to Los Suenos with no issue. Tolls are paid by tapping a card at the toll booth. Costa Rica has very specific rental car insurance laws that we encourage you to research prior to traveling. Despite your credit card providing coverage, you will always be charged additional fees. If you are seeking the scenic route, navigate to "La Casita del Café" as a way point before Los Suenos, this will add 30 minutes but it is a beautiful drive. Not recommended if there are bad weather conditions. Otherwise, the direct route should be about 1.5 hours to Los Suenos.

Golf Cart

Despite which condo you may stay at, a golf cart rental is recommended. If you would like to see other parts of the resort, check out the marina, or visit people in other condos, a golf cart is the easiest way to travel. We will have info on golf cart rental rates and how to book it.

End of December through January is Costa Rica's peak busy season. We recommend booking accommodations, flights, and transport (including golf cart!) as soon as possible.
