We originally met on the first day of sixth grade, in 2008, and had all of our classes together in middle school. Luke moved away after sophomore year of high school, and we thought we’d never see each other again! When he came back to see his friends graduate after our junior year, we reconnected through mutual friends. We went on lots of dates that summer before senior year, and after a Braves game on July 5th 2014, he asked Olivia to be his girlfriend. And the rest is history! We are so excited to celebrate a decade of love on our tenth anniversary with all of you, and enter into many more decades together as husband and wife!
After a beautiful adventure in Madrid and Barcelona, we ended our trip in Paris. On our last day in the city, we decided to have a fancy date night out and go see the Eiffel Tower sparkle since we had only seen it in the daytime. Luke had carried around a tripod to all the destinations on this trip just so that Olivia wouldn’t think anything of it when he brought it with them on the date to “take pictures at sunset”. We got all dressed up, and on the way there Luke stopped to get Olivia roses. He found a perfect spot on the lawn, set up the tripod, and posed for some pictures before he got down on one knee and finally popped the question. It was the sweetest, most special moment ever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in July!
