We recommend the wedding party arrives on Wednesday, and all guests arrive on Thursday, and that you stay until Saturday, at a minimum. However, make the trip as long as you please! We want this to be a vacation for everyone :) We will be staying the full week and leaving Monday, June 9th.
No, everyone must get their own shuttle or uber for transportation to their hotel. However, almost all resorts have their own shuttle transportation provided to and from the airport for a small cost, so make sure you look into this prior to arriving. You can also ask any worker once you exit the airport, and they will guide you to the shuttle that is respective to your resort. Ubers are also available to order, but they are not allowed in the immediate airport perimeters. You will have to walk outside the airport area to get to them.
Yes! The dress code is beach semi-formal, so please use this as a time to dress up! We also recommend that you wear brights or lighter beachy colors; please steer away from dark colors. Additionally, please pack a swimsuit for the hotel pools, ocean swims, and our pool party gathering on Saturday!
Please stay at any hotel that suits you for the weekend! We have recommendations listed on the website that vary from all-inclusive resorts and boutique hotels, to Airbnbs if preferred. If you have any questions regarding your stay, please reach out to us! We have done plenty of research and are happy to provide guidance towards your decision.
As much as we love your little ones, this is an adult only event. The only kids that will be present are immediate family as they are a part of the wedding.
YES! We will be providing a shuttle transportation service from The Royal Solaris to the venue, Acre. If you are staying at a hotel nearby, please make your way to this hotel for pick-up, or please make your own transportation accommodations.
We recommend you try to take off the hotel resort bracelet for the wedding. Upon check in, please tell the hotel staff you are here for a wedding and to place the bracelet loosely on your wrist, so you can take it off for the wedding and slip it back on afterwards. You can also try to have the bracelet cut off by a hotel member at the front desk before leaving for the wedding. Once you get back to the resort, check back in to have a replacement bracelet put back on. This will help them for their records and avoid any confusion or possible charges. Reminder, there IS a fee if you lose your bracelet, so please be mindful when taking your bracelet off.
No, you do not! Almost all places take credit card. Cash may be preferred if you decide to go into downtown San Jose del Cabo for restaurants, souvenirs, taxis, etc. All places take US dollars, although, if you wish to convert some cash into pesos that may help with the conversion rate.
1 USD = 19/20 Pesos. Lowest you may be charged is a 17 peso conversion rate in some areas (airport restaurants, bar outside the airport), but if you notice or are told the conversion rate is any lower than this, do not accept this.
Tap water in Mexico is not great. You can shower and brush your teeth with it, but do not drink it. Any water served is fine to drink! Water bottles are your go-to!
