Groom
Luke was raised in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He studied History at the University of Pittsburgh and was a middle school History teacher for eight years in North Carolina. He also coached middle school girls' soccer, softball, and volleyball. He then moved to Madison, near his brother Ben, where they both worked in IT. Luke now works for a non-profit in the transportation sector. He loves Pittsburgh sports, drawing and painting, board games, and video games. He is an excellent cook, dramatic actor, comedic wit, and he dances with soul!
Kavita Chetty
Bride
Kavita was born in Hawaii and raised in Sydney, Australia. She went to BYU-Hawaii, following in her parents' footsteps, and majored in English, just like her mum. She served a Mormon mission in Salt Lake City, Utah. She then moved to Florida, New York, and finally Wisconsin. She taught high school English for five years and now works for a dairy robotics company in the accounting department. She is obsessed with classic literature, old black and white movies, musicals and being organized. She never thought she was ever getting married, but Luke showed up and told her otherwise!
Ben Pearson
Best Man
Luke's brother, son of Mike and Lisa Pearson, grew up in Western Pennsylvania and now resides in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife, Ana, and two cats, Felix and Mona. At Ben’s wedding, Luke served as best man, delivering an epic toast, and looks forward to Ben topping him. Luke and Ben share a love of video games, movies, Steelers football, food, Survivor, board games, and Magic the Gathering.
Karuna Aloha Chetty
Maid of Honor
Karuna is Kavita's bubbly and vivacious little sister. She was born in Fiji but grew up in Australia. Kavita used to be very mean to Karuna when they were little, but Karuna fought back and now Kavita does not mess with her. She attended BYU-Hawaii where she majored in English. She returned to Australia where she got her Masters in Teaching and another Masters in Librarianship and is now a Teacher Librarian. She recently moved to England but due to some unforeseen and exciting circumstances she is currently living in Utah. Karuna loves to read, watch movies and play with her nephews Keanu and Link.
Mike Ball
Officiant
Mike hails from Carteret County in North Carolina, where he resides today with his wife Jess, and two dogs, Spy and Oakley. Luke met Mike when they began teaching 8th grade history the same year at Morehead City Middle School. After serving as a groomsman in Mike’s wedding, Luke is thrilled to have Mike officiate. (Mike is currently undefeated in officiated weddings, including fellow groomsman, AJ Curtis) He enjoys fishing, boating, and coaching youth sports.
Lucy Noi Loveday
Bridesmaid
Lucy Loveday was born and raised in Washington. She attended BYU-Hawaii where she and Kavita met and they knew they were kindred spirits immediately! She was a dancer at the Polynesian Cultural Center and majored in Art. She is one of the main reasons Kavita met Luke. You see, when Kavita was living in New York City she called Lucy crying about how unhappy she was and Lucy compassionately offered her home in Milwaukee to Kavita. Kavita gratefully accepted and ended up moving to Wisconsin. Lucy currently lives in Nebraska with her husband Dr Rob Loveday and they have four beautiful children: Elinor, Jane, Lily and Mark. She is an expert seamstress and loves ice cream!
Tim Berg
Groomsman
Tim resides in beautiful DuBois, PA with his wife, Tori, and sons, Keagan and Finn. Luke met Tim while playing Magic the Gathering, and soon the two, along with Ben Pearson, were traveling North America to play in tournaments, where much fun was had and great memories made. Tim is an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and dreams of the day they can beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tim and Luke share a passion for the show Survivor and both participate in a fantasy league along with fellow groomsman Ben and James, and bridesmaid Ana.
Lisa Takara Fetters
Bridesmaid
Lisa was born in Okinawa, Japan. She went to BYU-Hawaii, and one Friday evening she went to a campus movie. They were showing What Lies Beneath (edited to be Mormon appropriate of course) and she ended up sitting next to Kavita on the classroom floor where they were showing the movie. It was so scary that somehow Lisa ended up in Kavita's lap! They have been dear friends ever since. Often, Kavita would nap in Lisa's bed in the dorms while Lisa studied and Lisa would sing her lullabies in Japanese. She makes the best French toast and motivates Kavita when it comes to self improvement. She majored in Psychology and has her PhD from BYU Provo. She currently lives in Orem, Utah with her husband John and two daughters Audrey and Ellie. She loves sushi and Okinawan zenzai!
Keith Bernauer

Keith was born in Western PA before moving to North Carolina. After traveling the world while in the Navy, Keith now lives in North Carolina with his wife Deanna and two cats. Luke met Keith while working at Morehead City Middle School, where the two bonded over their love of discussing Pittsburgh sports while enjoying a good bourbon. Luke proudly served as a groomsman in Keith’s wedding, and is thrilled to have Keith join him for his.
Carrie Myers
Bridesmaid
Carrie was born in California and raised in Oregon. Carrie and Kavita met at BYU-Hawaii, and when Carrie left for Spain one summer she left all her ramen with Kavita, which Kavita commenced to eat in its entirety. Carrie studied International Cultural Studies at BYU-Hawaii and then Social Work at the University of Hawaii. She currently lives in Denver, Colorado where she runs her own business. She lives with her dog, Khan, and loves to ski, mountain bike, hike and read! She loves the outdoors and wants to grow her business and keep up with macroeconomic information to do so. Carrie is caring and thoughtful and always willing to listen to Kavita's craziness.
Ryan Boosel
Groomsman
Ryan grew up in Western PA and currently resides in Pittsburgh. Luke and Ryan were childhood friends, remaining close to this day. As they did while kids, they still love to nerd out over video games, anime, skateboarding, music, and movies. They dreamed of being famous Hollywood directors, and while they didn’t make it big, they still have fond memories of all of the short films made together. For the past decade, Ryan has produced rad music as one half of the synth-wave duo Arcade High.
Ana Pearson
Bridesmaid
Dr Ana Pearson is from Hudson, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she met her husband Ben, Luke's brother, and they now live in Madison, Wisconsin with their two cats Felix and Mona. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine. Ana will soon be be Kavita's sister-in-law and she is very grateful Ana is so sweet and kind to her! She and Kavita love eating Thai food together, especially mango sticky rice. Ana loves gardening, cooking and baking, learning about film, watching Survivor, and reading good books.
AJ Curtis
Groomsman
AJ was born in Western PA and now lives in North Carolina with his wife, Tiffany, daughters Cobie and Ashton, Tito the cat, and new puppy, Trixie. Luke met AJ while working at Morehead City Middle School. As a fellow Western PA native, Luke and AJ spent many nights hanging out on AJ’s porch cheering on the Pirates, reveling in victory and agonizing in defeat (unfortunately, mostly defeat). Not a weekend would go by without good times being had, often including yard games, karaoke, and various other shenanigans. AJ remains actively involved in sports where he coaches baseball.
Hannah Evancy

Hannah is from Duluth, Minnesota. She went to Rollins College where she studied Communications. Hannah and Kavita met when they both worked at the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida. They knew they were besties the moment they met! When Kavita's car got totaled in Orlando, Hannah picked Kavita up every day for work. Kavita also unwittingly followed Hannah to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Hannah made sure Kavita had kitchenware and helped her find a job. Hannah currently lives there with her husband Chase and their two cute as heck children Dexter and Sylvia. She works for Grand Canyon University.
James Orr
Groomsman
James is from Colorado and now lives in Madison, WI. Luke met James while visiting Ben in Madison, where the three would play Magic the Gathering together. Before, moving to Madison, Luke would play the video game League of Legends with James, and the two bonded over all their shared nerdy hobbies. Now that both are in Madison, they’ve added board games and watching Survivor the repertoire (where James dominates the fantasy league) Growing up, James was involved in the theater, and now serves as a dungeon master for Dungeons and Dragons.
Kathy Rose
Bridesmaid
Kathy is from Orlando, Florida. She and Kavita met at BYU-Hawaii one evening after Kathy went on a date and found Kavita manning the RA office. They talked until the wee hours of the morning and knew they'd be friends for life. She went on to study ethnobotany at the University of Kent in England and did her thesis research in Spain. Kathy sheltered Kavita when Kavita first moved to the United States from Australia. She taught Kavita how to drive on the wrong side of the road they way you all do here, helped her open her first bank account and got her Social Security card. Kathy currently lives in Germany with her son Emerson and daughter Elena. She was a college professor for ten years and is now a financial counselor for military service members overseas. She loves Latin dancing and Thai food!
Michael Pearson
Father of the Groom
Mike Pearson grew up in Western PA where he would fall in love and marry his high school sweetheart, Lisa Wyza. After some time living in Pittsburgh, the two moved to a 19th-century home in rural Pennsylvania and brought home an adorable baby boy named Luke. Mike enjoys the great outdoors and spends time hunting, fishing, and golfing. Luke is so proud to have such an amazing father.

Lisa Pearson grew up in Western Pennsylvania where she would meet her husband, and father of the groom, Mike Pearson. The two were married and soon had a beautiful baby boy whom they named Luke. Lisa spends time between Pennsylvania and Florida and enjoys relaxing at the beach, Pittsburgh sports, and college gymnastics. Luke is incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful mother.

Hari Chetty was born and raised in Fiji and went to BYU-Hawaii, where he majored in Business. He moved to Australia and worked in Sales for many years, including twenty years with American Express. He is currently retired. He loves the Penrith Panthers (Australian football) and learning about India.

Bathma Chetty was born in Singapore and went to BYU-Hawaii where she studied English. She moved to Australia and taught for forty years. She is currently retired. She loves Jane Austen, Shakespeare and old black and white movies and musicals. She has four amazing children and two highly precocious grandchildren.
