Question

Why are you getting married in Taiwan?

Answer

Growing up, we spent many of our holidays, summers, and vacation days in Taiwan. As we've gotten older, we have grown to appreciate spending this time with our families and each other so much more! When we started our wedding planning, we realized that it would mean so much to us to be able to share our experiences in this beautiful country with all of guests so that everyone can see how awesome Taiwan is with us!

Question

Why is the ceremony in a different venue than the reception?

Answer

As some of you may know, Katherine's grandfathers on both sides of the family were prominent ministers at their respective churches. We feel so honored to have our ceremony at Katherine's maternal grandfather's church where Katherine's A-Gong served as the head pastor for many years and where many of her family members also got married. Following the ceremony, we are excited to host a modern Taiwanese wedding at our venue in the popular Xinyi District in Taipei.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

United States/European Guests - please RSVP by December 18th, 2026. Taiwanese Citizens - please RSVP by March 18th, 2026.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We can't wait to celebrate with you all! To help us ensure all our loved ones are with us, please check your formal invites for any guests. If unclear or unsure, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns!

Question

Can I bring my kid(s)?

Answer

To allow all guests to fully enjoy the celebration, we kindly request that the event be adult-only. However, we totally understand that an international trip may be difficult to plan without childcare. If obtaining childcare for this trip will prevent you from coming, please reach out to either of us and we can discuss the situation. We'd love for everyone to make it, and we don't want this to be the sole reason you can't join us!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Welcome Party - Please wear dressy-casual attire for the welcome party—something stylish but not too formal. We’d love to see you in polished, comfortable outfits, but please avoid jeans or sneakers. Wedding ceremony and reception - We kindly request cocktail or formal attire for our wedding celebration. We look forward to seeing you dressed in your finest as we celebrate this special day.

Question

What will the weather be like? Will this wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather averages in April in Taipei typically range from a low of 65°F to a high of 75°F (18°C–24°C). It’s generally warm and pleasant, with spring flowers in bloom, but April is also the start of the wetter season, so there's a fair chance of light rain or humidity. We’d recommend checking the forecast as we get closer to the date and packing a light rain jacket or umbrella, just in case. The wedding events will be mainly indoors. Dinner and dancing will be indoors in an air-conditioned space. Any post-wedding brunch or gathering the next day is also planned for outdoors, assuming the weather stays warm and dry!

Question

Will there be ground transportation provided?

Answer

Yes, this is still in works! Please check back for more details!

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We'd love for you to capture these precious moments with us! Our only ask is please refrain from using your phone during our church ceremony.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We're lucky enough to have everything we need for our current life together. We're also extremely grateful for anyone making the long trip to celebrate with us in Taiwan, which is a gift in itself! If you still wish to give us a gift, we would appreciate any monetary contribution to our life together! Please feel free to Venmo either of us to contribute to our honeymoon fund that can be found under the registry section.

Question

What should I pack for this trip?

Answer

Here are a few things you should make sure you bring: Passport Some cash (Taiwan NT), just in case Nice outfits for the wedding events Umbrella or light jacket No need for electrical converters so you can plug in any devices you bring - Taiwan uses US- ports.

Question

While I'm in Taiwan, what other activities can I do?

Answer

Question

How do I use my cellphone in Taiwan?

Answer
