When Luke first met his 2nd grade teacher, she informed him that there was a new student coming to school and asked Luke to try being friends with him. It was from then on that Luke and Isaac would be best friends for life. Despite periodic and extended times where they would not see each other, or even keep that closely in touch, annual reunions at the Hartland Taco Bell would always succeed in rekindling their friendship. Now, over 27 years later, Ike is standing up for Luke and serving as his best man for the wedding.

The second we got engaged I asked Ashley to be my maid of honor. She is my Taurus sister. Ashley and I met years ago at Maru and very quickly became friends. We celebrate our birthday's together, laugh constantly, confide in each other, always on the same page and enjoy being and encouraging our best authentic selves. Ashley brings out the best in me and is beautiful inside and out. They are ever growing as a person and I look up to her for that reason and more.
Maxine Goik

Max is Edie's sister. It was no question that I would have Max by my side on our wedding day. Maxine is successful, creative, funny and a wicked good baker. I can not wait for you to try the pies she made for the wedding! Despite her being out of state, she has been more than wonderful in helping me with this entire process and I am blessed to have her with me.
Jack Boyd

While Jack and Luke go back all the way to the beginning of grade school, it wasn't until after Luke was done with college and Jack had left the Air Force that they became the friends they are today. Over the last 10 years, Luke and Jack have gone on many adventures together and gotten into all sorts of shenanigans, and in 2021 each of them got engaged and have asked the other to stand up for them in their weddings.

Housemates, softball teammate, and gamer friends - Nick and Luke have been close friends since 2010, when they met in East Lansing. Always down to go out for a deli sandwich or out for a beer at the pub, Nick has always remained a loyal friend to Luke.

I met Jessy through Lindsay and I will always remember that day so well. Jessy off the bat welcomed me with a huge hug and tequila <3! Jessy has a fun sense of fashion and humor and her smile is not easily forgotten. This woman is unmatched when it comes to taking life as it comes and making the best out of it. Although Jessy and I haven't known each other for long, I know that her standing by my side at the wedding is just one of many times Jessy will stand by my side in life.

I met Bailey at Maru years ago. Through working with each other we developed a natural friendship. Bailey is now succeeding at a different restaurant where she is leading her own team. Although we haven't worked together for some time now we still keep up with each other, go to shows, and share cats from the same cat family! Bailey is so funny, honest and always is down to have a great time.
Daryll Seitz

In the Fall of 2008, Luke and Daryll each moved into a student Co-op in East Lansing where they quickly became very good friends. Having lived together as roommates and housemates for more than 4 years, the two continued to be very close even after their living situations sent them in different directions. Thousands of hours of video games helped bridge the geographical gap between the two. Now, the two frequently visit one another just to catch up and shoot the breeze.
Johnathan Martin

Johnathan is Edie's cousin but we consider each other more as soul siblings. I'm so lucky to have you as a brother to grow up with and a friend to live life harder with each passing moment. Johnathan helped show me that I'm not my mistakes or failures. Through all the paths I've gone down, he is always there to remind me who I am today and who I can grow to be tomorrow. Although Alex, Johnathan's brother, is not in the wedding party I would like to highlight him as an important part of my life as well. Alex is so genuine and kind; He is everyone's pal and I couldn't have done life without him either <3.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lindsay 'O'Lovely' through my cousin Johnathan. When he asked Lindsay to marry him, I was more than excited to have Lindsay in the family. From the start Lindsay was always encouraging me, making me feel beautiful, loved and thought about when I was least expecting it.

Edie and Luke met Athena when she began dating their friend David about 5 years ago. Over the years, Athena and David have joined Luke and Edie to concerts, shows and festivals from New York to Detroit. Athena is easily the coolest archaeologist and has very impressive depth of knowledge about the world before today. We are thrilled to have this beautiful & intelligent woman by our side.

Luke and Dan lived together for a single year in 2010, with nothing but a single door separating their bedrooms. Naturally, many back and forth pranks assured their friendship would grow and last forever. Today, the two of them frequently get together to learn and do DIY projects at each other's houses and make entire dates out of visits to Menards.

David and Edie met years ago in high school and were instantly friends. David opened my world to Daft Punk, Detroit Techno + house which was and still is a huge passion of mine. Naturally, Luke and David became good friends and even started a techno collaboration together, Luke Warm Pita. I am so happy and proud of everything David has accomplished in his life. Luke and I both are honored to have him unite us on our wedding day.

Maya is Luke's niece. She will be doing us the honor of delivering rings for the ceremony. Maya is creative, funny and participates in gymnastics! We love spending time with Maya and are proud to have her in our family and to be apart of her life. We can't wait to see what else Maya discovers and creates passions for.
