Officiant/Maid of Honor
Mary and I met as college freshmen at Elon University in 2005. As suite-mates, we immediately fell in love, bonding over too many shots of plastic bottled vodka and Harden cafeteria cookies, as well as our love for the Cape, our families and a good pair of sweatpants. My mom calls Mary my "$24k" friend because she is one of the best things I came away with from Elon when I transferred to U of A after freshman year. After graduation, we became roommates again in our infamous 2014 Connecticut Ave apartment in DC for several years. No matter where life took us later as we both moved all over the country, Mary has always been a constant in my life and is the sister I never had. We are so happy she agreed to be our officiant and we can’t wait to be #MarriedbyMary!
Best Man
I have known Al since, well, the day he was born. When we were younger, he used to tag along with me and my buddies everywhere we went and I, of course, felt he was cramping my style. But what I wouldn't give today to have this guy tagging along with me everywhere I go. Living on opposite coasts, we don't get the chance to hang out as often as we'd like, but a typical visit with Al always includes: dank craft beer, watching one of his 19 favorite soccer teams play (he has one in practically every corner of the globe), a round of golf, and lots of laughs. I am so honored to be able to call my brother my best friend and my best man.
Pup of Honor
I adopted Wilbur in 2013 while living in San Francisco. I knew we were meant for each other when I laid eyes on him and saw his scruffy face and big brown eyes. My friend's teased me that I was raising Wilbur as a single mother and on the search for Wilbur's dad. I introduced Wilbs to Luke on our 2nd date during a hike on Theodore Roosevelt Island in DC. Wilbur must have known Luke was the one before I did because he immediately cuddled up to Luke and never wanted to leave his side. From that day on, the three of us have traveled the country together, camping, hiking and exploring, earning Wilbur the title of most well traveled pup! We wanted him to be part of our wedding and he will be standing proudly next to his dad at the altar!
