Our love story

Sometimes it pays to have siblings who start dating first, or at least, that’s how it worked out for us. We never had a proper introduction instead, once our younger siblings started dating, we just sort of ended up in each other’s lives and stayed there. From the beginning, Luke’s interest was pretty obvious. Meanwhile, I didn’t exactly give him a second glance at first. He’ll tell you I flirted with him all summer long, and I’ll tell you it was 100% unintentional. To this day, the jury’s still out. By August, Luke finally worked up the courage to ask me on a real date. His idea of romance? Dinner at Texas Roadhouse and Smoothie King after. Pretty perfect if you ask me. A few dates later, he asked if I wanted to make things official and I gave him the infamous response that my family never lets me forget, “Let me think about it.” At that point, he and I both knew he wasn’t going to ask again. But after patiently waiting another month while I dragged my feet, I decided this time I would ask him out instead. At the end of the night, I slipped him a little note asking if he wanted to be my boyfriend and to check yes or no. Luckily for me, he checked yes. Four years later, here we are saying yes again, but this time to forever!
