Abbie’s birthday is August 12th, and her and Luke had weekend plans with friends and family at a golf outing up north. Abbie asked Luke if they could go to dinner the night before, just them, before spending the weekend with others. After changing her mind too many times to count on where she wanted to go, an hour before she suggested Ledgestone Vineyards. This was a favorite of hers and Luke’s and they were having live music and food trucks that night. When Luke got home from work, little did Abbie know he decided tonight was the night. An attempt to assure the surprise didn’t get back to Abbie, he only told Winnie (Abbie’s dog) that he was going to propose to Abbie that night. Fast forward to later that night, Abbie and Luke arrive at the vineyard, set up their lawn chairs, grab a few drinks and some dinner. After a while, Luke asked Abbie if she wanted to go for a walk around the vineyard before the music started. Abbie was oblivious to what was happening and said “No, I’m sore from the gym this morning and I’m good chilling here.” About 30 minutes go by and Luke suggests another walk since the band still hadn’t started, this time Abbie gave in. They walked through the vineyard, when they got to the edge, Luke reached in his pocket and Abbie thought “omg this is it, he’s proposing to me.” Luke pulled out his wallet and Abbie instantly thought “oh just kidding.” Luke then got down on one knee, pulled the ring out, and proposed to Abbie. Of course it was an easy “Yes.” 🤍
