Viagem (Travel)
We highly recommend flying into Guarulhos (GRU) and renting a car for the duration of your stay. Everything that we recommend visiting in the "things to do" tab can be done by driving, except going to Rio. I do not recommend driving there, please fly in through São Paulo and use Uber (no taxis).
You do not fuel up by yourself in Brazil, we have gas station attendants that will do it for you–please stay in your car. As for the wedding, we will be blocking off an ibis Style hotel (linked below) for outside guests and providing a shuttle type service to take them from there to the venue. Bear in mind that Brazil has a zero-tolerance policy for drunk driving, so even a beer can get you in trouble.
You do not need to worry about tipping (but can if you want), as it is not the custom. I recommend converting no more than 100USD (about R$500) to have on your person, as most places accept credit cards. Leave expensive jewelry at home, and make sure to pick up outlet adaptors!
