When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP no later than June 1st, 2025. We have already paid for the full buy-out of the Spirit of Sofia and we are filling out rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis. The sooner you are able to RSVP, the sooner you can secure your accommodations at the property!

Do I have to pay for accommodations at the Spirit of Sofia?

Answer

No, accommodations at the Spirit of Sofia are on us! It was important to us when looking for a venue to find a place where all of our friends and family could stay for the weekend. We want our wedding weekend to be a mini-vacation and a chance for all of us to celebrate, relax and just have an incredible time! The Spirit of Sofia is a boutique hotel and is fully bought-out for the weekend. So pack your bags and as long as you can get to Palm Springs the rest of the weekend is on us!

Do I have to stay at the Spirit of Sofia?

Answer

While we would like everyone to stay with us, you are more than welcome to use your own accommodations! The Spirit of Sofia is a boutique hotel with 23 private bedrooms. We know that traveling to Palm Springs to join us can be expensive so we wanted to cover accommodations to lessen the financial burden of joining us for the weekend! We have placed everyone (and have some friends sharing rooms) to ensure that we are able to accommodate as may people as possible. If you would prefer to book your own room at a nearby hotel, please let us know so we can re-arrange sleeping arrangements as needed.

Can I bring a date/do I get a plus one?

Answer

While we would love to have everyone attend our wedding weekend, the Spirit of Sofia has limited space and we are prioritizing having our closest friends and family with us for the weekend. We ask that you please not bring a plus one, or any additional guests not included in your invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you so much for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we would love to have kids attend our wedding weekend, many places in Palm Springs, including the Spirit of Sofia, are adults-only. To allow all our guests the opportunity to let their hair down and enjoy themselves, we’ve elected to make our wedding a child-free event.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, there is a dress code for our wedding! We want everyone to be comfortable and recommend casual attire for the weekend. As for our wedding ceremony we'd love to see everyone get dressed up for our big day! We ask that you dress in tropical cocktail attire. Bright summer-time colors are encouraged! Examples can be found under the "Dress Code" tab on our website.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for and gifts are not necessary! Should you wish to still give us a gift, in lieu of a traditional registry, we ask that you instead make a monetary contribution towards our future together.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you! Mr. Lyons is located across the street from the Spirit of Sofia, so we encourage you to walk or uber/lyft over to Mr. Lyons if you intend to party!

What should I do if I/we can not make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. If you've already RSVP and plans change to where you can no longer join us, please contact us ASAP. Thank you!
