Question

Which events am I invited to?

Answer

We want to make sure that everyone is able to come to at least one of our events. The legal ceremony in London is a small affair and will primarily be for family (though let us know if this is the only event you would be able to attend and we would be happy to accommodate you). We'd love to see those who can make it for drinks at the Distiller's Pub in Hammersmith in the evening. We're hoping to see as many of you as possible at the reception in Belgium and/or the ceremony in Malaysia. As we're lucky to have so many close friends and family, we can't accommodate everyone at both so please check your invite to confirm which event we're hoping to see you at and please ask us if you have any questions!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for all events will be semi-formal (i.e. lounge suits or cocktail dresses) but please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

At the Kasteel van Huizingen in Belgium, there is plenty of parking space available for those who want to drive. We expect that for anyone attending the London ceremony, it will be most convenient to use public transport. There is no parking available at the register office or at the Distiller's Pub.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We're looking forward to celebrating both with our close friends and family, and their partners. We have set out all the invitees in your RSVP. If there is someone special you want to bring who's not on your invite, please let us know and we'll try to accommodate.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Brussels in June tends to be warm, possibly into the low 20s, but Belgian weather can be very unpredictable - we can't rule out rain! While there is outdoor space, the main event will be indoors. In Malaysia it will be very hot and humid; you may want to wear light fabrics e.g. linen.

Question

Can we take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

There will be an official photographer in both Belgium and Malaysia so we would prefer if you didn't take photos during the ring warming/ceremony. Beyond that, please take as many as you like!

Question

What are the visa requirements for Malaysia?

Answer

For both Belgian and UK citizens visiting Malaysia, a visa is not required, but you must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival

For all the days along the way
