The Blenheim estate is home to the UK's largest non-royal palace and beautiful park lands. You can tour the palace itself, visit the Adventure Play area, ride the miniature train or take a run around the public paths.
Punting, a type of boating, is a favorite Oxford past time for visitors, residents and students alike. At Magdalen Bridge Boathouse you can hire a punt, chauffeured or for the brave, un-chauffeured, and see the sights of Oxford from the river.
The Cotswolds is a picturesque, historic region known for its rolling hills, honey-colored stone villages, market towns, and green countryside which Nic has often likened to the beautiful rolling hills of Iowa! The Cotswolds lies 30 mins or so from our wedding venue and is worth a visit. Exploring by car is best but you can also take the train to some towns including Moreton-in-Marsh. Check out Lucy's home town of Burford and also Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters and Broadway Tower - or any other of the many villages which comprise the region, most of which have great pubs where you can top up on a warm sturdy ale.
