FAQs

Question

Can children come along?

Answer

We kindly ask that the wedding be an adults-only celebration, beyond close family. That said, we understand that travel can be challenging for families, so if not bringing your children affects your ability to come to the wedding, reach out to us directly and we can accommodate.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We invite guests to dress formally for the celebration. Suits, ties, cocktail dresses, and gowns are all welcome. Tuxedos not required; but if you'd like to wear your tux, please do! First and foremost, we want everyone to be comfortable.

Question

What time will festivities end?

Answer

Our wedding celebration will end at 11.45pm, with guests needing to be off the property at midnight.

Question

Will transport be provided?

Answer

We have organized boats to reach the venue, with guests requested to meet at the Salter's Steamers boat yard, Folly Bridge, central Oxford (OX1 4LA) for a 2pm sharp departure. Please leave plenty of time to get to the boat launch as weekend Oxford traffic can be busy. Nic will be holding the fort at the Head of the River pub terrace from 1pm so feel free to meet him there for a pre-departure drink. After the party, we have organized a coach (departing 11.45pm) to serve a route which includes central Oxford, Yarnton, Woodstock, Long Hanborough, North Leigh, Witney and Burford. Please let us know if you plan to take the coach. Should you wish to leave earlier, or need to get to a different location, we recommend to book a taxi in advance. Royal Cars is a good option, and you can book by visiting www.royal-cars.com. The venue is also served by Uber.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Email lucyandnic2026@gmail.com, confirming whether or not you will attend. Please also let us know of any dietary requirements, and if you plan to take the boat transfer from Oxford or meet us at the Perch. Please RSVP by 31st March 2026.

Question

Any other advice for guests coming from overseas?

Answer

If you're travelling to the UK from overseas, you may need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before you travel. An ETA is an online travel permission required by the UK government. It’s similar to the US ESTA system. You apply online before your trip and receive approval electronically. Given this system is relatively new we thought a reminder to apply in good time would be useful!
