Watch this documentary before coming down to Como https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XiW3oPv1vZc
We kindly ask that all people attending the rehearsal dinner and wedding be fully vaccinated in advance of arriving in Como. While a majority of the events will be held outside (rehearsal dinner is the only exception) we want to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. To that end, we have also asked that all servers at the wedding also have a vaccination. If anyone feels under the weather leading up to the event, please take a test and/or contact us to make sure we have a plan.
Most all will be provided for you (including a bed and sheets, towels, lanterns, a small mirror, two chairs, natural bug spray and deet filled bug spray, and meals). Please bring your own water bottle, a headlamp if you have one, and good walking shoes. If you’re driving, bring a bike. Bring any specific food or drink you know you’ll want at your tent. I know some of your camp mates ordered coolers with ice… Bring an instrument if that strikes you. Also, you should never go anywhere without your bathing suit.
The humidity has usually started to wane and the days are cooler, but given climate change, we can't really be sure.
The Dollar General and the gas station are pretty much it. The closest grocery story (Kroger) is 20 minutes away in Senatobia, MS. Come prepared!
Hang out on the farm for games and walks! Harriet and Mike are both planning activities and surprises. Or take yourself to local farm Homeplace Pastures. Or go into town and watch whatever game is on at the Windy City Grille.
Festive and cocktail. Check the weather because we want you to be prepared. Wear shoes for walking in fields. Wear your blazers or suits on Saturday.
Yes! If it’s easy for you! Dirt trails and gravel roads to bike on.
Please contact our wedding planners, sisters Russell Whitehead (901) 210-7136 and Ruthie Bowlin (901) 289-1530.
