Yampa River Float

*As of 7/1, the Yampa River is currently closed to recreation. The closure will remain in effect until river conditions improve and the order is rescinded. Due to record low snowfall last winter, the river flow is too low for recreational use. Checked 9/1 and the river is still closed :( Water level and weather permitting, we'd like to invite anyone who has arrived and is interested to join us for a leisurely float down the Yampa. We have used Backdoor Sports in the past. They charge $30/person and provide the tube, life jacket, and shuttle ride back into town.

Gondola Loading for the Ceremony

Ceremony to take place on the lawn in front of Thunderhead Lodge at the top of Mt. Werner. Take the scenic "Steamboat Gondola" from Steamboat Square up to Thunderhead Lodge. Gondola loading for the wedding will begin at 5pm. We ask all guests to be at the base of the mountain, ready to load the gondola at 5pm to arrive at the ceremony on time. On the day of the wedding guests will have free parking in the Gondola Square Parking Garage. At the kiosk, scroll the list of events for "Follansbee - Loustaunau Wedding" and enter access code 7111. The access code will reduce the parking rate to $0 and will be valid for free parking until the 11:59am the next morning.
