Chicago's food scene has much to offer, from classic dishes to fine dining! The city is famous for its deep-dish pizza, with popular spots like Lou Malnati's and Giordano's, but our favorite is the wood fire pizza at Robert's Pizza. For a more upscale experience, we highly recommend RL (where we dined right before getting engaged!), Gilt Bar, and Armitage Alehouse—all offering incredible food and ambiance (getting a reservation can be tricky). You truly can't go wrong with the food in the city, so no matter where you go, you're sure to have a fantastic meal!
If you're looking to explore a beautiful and free attraction, Lincoln Park Zoo is the perfect place! This historic zoo offers a wide variety of wildlife exhibits, gardens, and scenic views. Weather permitting, it's a lovely spot to stroll and enjoy the outdoors. Fun fact: we got engaged on the iconic bridge at the zoo, making it even more special to us!
If weather is nice and staying in the North Shore Suburbs, the botanic gardens contain over 350 acres of nature, plants, and flowers. Tickets for admission are 16$ and advanced parking is 10$. Please note, the garden is 18 miles from downtown but located just 3 miles from the venue
Chicago is well known for its amazing architecture and once of the best ways to see and learn about it is on the Architecture Tour along the Chicago River, especially if the weather is mild. Discover the city’s rich architectural history on a boat tour and take in views of iconic buildings such as the Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, and many more.
