Things To Do

Some of our favorite places to go when we visit Lucy's parents in New Hampshire.
The Beach Plum

The Beach Plum

16 Ocean Boulevard, North Hampton, NH 03862
, (603) 964-7451

This is our favorite spot to get lobster rolls when we're up in New Hampshire. They have 2 other locations in Portsmouth and Epping but this one is the best because it's right on the beach. Be warned the ice cream portions are absurdly large, trust us get the kiddie.

Smuttynose Brewing Company

Smuttynose Brewing Company

105 Towle Farm Road, Hampton, NH 03842
, (603) 436-4026

A great brewery with outdoor space and lawn games.

Popovers On the Square

Popovers On the Square

8 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801
, (603) 431-1119

For popovers obviously! The other desserts are great as well.

Market Square

Market Square

Market Square, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Walk around in Portsmouth. There are lots of places to eat and old houses to admire.

Blue Job Mountain Parking Area

Blue Job Mountain Parking Area

515 First Crown Point Road, Strafford, NH 03884

Obviously don't just visit the parking lot. A pretty easy and gratifying hike on a well marked trail. Info here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/blue-job-mountain-loop

Stonehouse Pond

Stonehouse Pond

Barrington, NH 03825

A very short steep hike up to this beautiful lookout over the pond.

Brown’s Lobster Pound

Brown’s Lobster Pound

407 New Hampshire 286, Seabrook, NH 03874
, (603) 474-3331

Great spot for lobster and steamers with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating on a marsh. Great sunset.

Odiorne Point State Park

Odiorne Point State Park

570 Ocean Boulevard, Rye, NH 03870
, (603) 436-7406

A nice state park with walking trails and an abandoned WWII fort. A great place to look for seaglass and bike ride.

Parker Mountain

Parker Mountain

Parker Mountain Road, Strafford, NH 03884

I wouldn't actually recommend this whole hike because I don't think the payoff view wise is worth it. However, pretty close to the beginning there is a great lookout with a view of Bow Lake. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-hampshire/parker-mountain-via-spencer-smith-and-neil-mooers-trail
