We met on the dating app "Hinge" in August of 2021 - neither of us ever expected that a dating app would actually work for us! Cade liked a picture of Lucy smiling in her legal professional attire and Lucy sent him a message back (neither of us can remember what it said, probably something super genius like "hi"). We started chatting on the app, which eventually led to regular text conversations. We met for a picnic at Boom Island Park a few weeks after connecting and the rest is history!

We had a pre-planned dinner date at Billy Sushi to celebrate our two year anniversary in August - we ate, we drank, we reminisced on the last two years, and overall had a fantastic dinner. Cade then suggested we take a walk at Boom Island Park, which is where we had gone on our first date. Lucy was immediately suspicious because it was one of the hottest days of the year and a very steamy day to take a causal walk. Once we got to the picnic benches where we had our first date, Cade got down on one knee! Lucy said yes, and then our lovely friends Erin and Nick (who took photos of the proposal) popped out of the bushes! After taking a few pictures at the park we headed to Cade's parent's house where both of our families were waiting to celebrate with us with hugs and champagne. It was such a special evening and we cannot wait to celebrate our wedding with the people we love most!
