Question

What precautions are you taking against COVID-19?

Answer

First, we completely understand if you aren’t comfortable coming to our wedding due to COVID concerns. Our priority is the health and safety of our loved ones, and we look forward to celebrating with you at another time. For COVID precautions, we have downsized our guest count to be less than 25% of the venue's capacity, which allows plenty of space to spread out. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors (weather permitting), and the reception will be indoors at socially distanced tables with assigned seating. Masks will be required at all times except when sitting at your assigned table to eat/drink at the reception. In the two weeks before our wedding, we are asking guests to isolate as much as possible. We are not requiring COVID tests, but if you do get a test before the wedding, please let us know your results.

Question

How do I get to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Both our wedding ceremony and reception will be held at Texas Discovery Gardens in Fair Park. Enter Fair Park using Gate 5 off of Robert B McCullum Boulevard, and tell the security guard at the gate that you’re attending a wedding at the Texas Discovery Gardens. Take your first right onto 2nd Ave, and Parking Lot 6B will be on your right after you cross MLK Boulevard.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Parking is available for free in Lot 6B in Fair Park. However, we recommend using Uber or Lyft if you plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages at the reception. Enjoy responsibly!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive around 5:45 pm to give yourself plenty of time to get settled.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend cocktail attire. We plan to hold the ceremony outside, so please choose appropriate footwear. Depending on how the fickle-minded Texas weather is acting, you may also need a jacket. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will move the ceremony inside the venue.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have booked room blocks at two hotels in Dallas; details are provided on the Travel page of this website. For other accommodations in Dallas, there are plenty of hotels and Airbnbs to consider.

Question

I have a food allergy; how can I let you know about it?

Answer

We will ask for any food allergies during the RSVP process.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity limitations, we can only accommodate guests addressed on the invitation.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Gifts are not expected but certainly appreciated! If you would like to give us a gift, our registries are linked on the Registry page of this website.
