Wedding Party

Lindsay

Maid of Honor

Hi everyone, I'm from Portland, and currently live in LA, where I work in healthcare communications. Outside of work I love cooking, baking, pilates, exploring new food spots and cuddling with my cat. Lucie and I have known each other longer than anyone else in our lives ❤️ We were adopted from the same orphanage in China (I'm convinced we shared a crib) when we were 10 months old by our loving parents. Our families moved into the same neighborhood, one block from each other so most of our childhood was spent bouncing between houses. I consider Lucie much more than a best friend, but a sister. One of my favorite memories with Lucie and Tim was our trip to Disneyland! It was Tim's and my boyfriend first time (in a while) and needless to say they were in for a whirlwind since a Disney day with Lucie is unlike anything else. We woke up early and headed to California Adventure, ate our way through both parks, and completed a roster of rides. By the end of the day we walked about 13 miles and despite how bad our feet hurt, we had the best time! I couldn't be more thrilled to celebrate Lucie and Tim's wedding in June!! Since she was seven, Lucie has known that she would have her wedding on Mt. Hood at Timberline so this is literally a dream come true. I've been known to be protective of Lucie and have high standards when it comes to her partners, but I'm happy to say that Tim well exceeds all benchmarks and has received the "Lindsay seal of approval" - congratulations Tim!

Vanessa

Bridesmaid

Hi everyone, I'm Vanessa, one of Lucie's bridesmaids and she is one of my best friends from college. I'm originally from Seattle, but I live in NYC with my amazing girlfriend Breanna. I work fully remote for TRC implementing energy efficiency and electrification incentive programs in California. In my free time, I love taking dance classes, running, reading, and cooking. How I know the bride and groom: I actually third wheeled on their first date, so I've technically known Tim as long as Lucie has. Lucie and I did ballroom together in college and became friends through that. We ended up living together junior year both at Scripps and in Melbourne when we (briefly) studied abroad together in Australia. Tim was working at the Australian Sports Museum when he and Lucie met on Bumble and when he told her he could get her tickets to the museum and a tour of the Melbourne Cricket Ground but he would have to be working she asked if she could bring me! :) Favorite memory: My parents and I visited Lucie and Tim in Melbourne in February 2024 and we had a really great day trip to the Mornington Peninsula. We went to a wildlife sanctuary and got to feed wallabies and kangaroos, a farm with a sunflower field where we had the most amazing lunch, and some beautiful viewpoints. They were the best tour guides! I am so excited for the wedding!! Lucie and Tim have such an incredible love story and I'm grateful to have gotten to witness it from the beginning. I can't wait to celebrate them!

Bella

Bridesmaid

I am Bella, a Portland, OR native. When I am not helping my friends and family pick out the perfect outfit, I am shopping for kitschy trinkets, vintage clothing or beauty products. You will also find me creating vintage inspired content or planning my next trip to Disneyland. You can also count on me to advocate going to a local tiki bar if we are looking for something fun to do! I know Lucie through our mutual friend Lindsay, we had instantly bonded over a conversation about our love for Disneyland and have been friends ever since! Lucie and I would often hang out at Disneyland and in Orange County together in college which brought us closer. My favorite memory with Tim and Lucie is sitting on my front porch together chatting away about anything and everything...including our favorite orders at Taco Bell or McDonalds. So excited to celebrate their love in such an iconic Oregon location surrounded by family and friends.

Jessica

Bridesmaid

I’m from Canada but currently live in Australia. I work as a school admin clerk. I love the beach, and like to travel to new places and love a nice white wine! I also now like to bake sourdough thanks to Lucie! I met Lucie and Tim in Australia—she taught me everything I know about making her sour dough even though mine will never look like hers she’s also my personal reminder system I don’t get anything done without her . When I met Tim I had no idea he was a chef. I’m so excited to spend their special day by their side, and I couldn’t be happier I met them both!

Grace

Bridesmaid

Hi! My name is Grace (even though Lucie calls me Samantha 😄). I'm originally from Shanghai, but am currently living in Evanston, IL (30 min. outside of Chicago) as an MBA / MS in Design Innovation candidate at the Kellogg School of Management. Before business school, I was working in San Francisco as a Customer Strategy and Design Consultant for about 4 years after graduating from Scripps College (with Lucie!). Outside of work, I love volleyball, reformer pilates, exploring cities, trying new restaurants / cafes, cooking, karaoke, watching basketball (go Warriors!), and being silly with Lucie 🥰. Lucie and I met at Scripps College, where we shared many stupid silly memories on campus, with JUM, at the beach, disneyland, and all the places in between. Despite hearing about "lawyer Tim with the Aussie accent" all through college, I still have yet to meet him in person... yeah, my best friend got engaged to a man I never met. I miss being stupid with Lucie... while we've shared so many memories in Claremont, LA, and Portland -- when I think of Lucie, I think of a laughter-filled home in Claremont. Late night walks to Jay's Place, post-class boba runs, aimless strolls around Target -- it didn't matter what we were doing, we were always laughing together. I cannot wait for Lucie's dream wedding at Mt. Hood to the love of her life!! Also equally as excited to finally meet Tim 😌

Mable

Bridesmaid

One thing you need to know about me, it's that Lucie calls me a human cat. Meaning I am a free spirit who does what she wants, whenever she wants (with reason of coarse). I also happen to be exceptional at napping, and can fall asleep anywhere within minutes. When I'm not being a cat, I'm a culture and lifestyle journalist who is always running around to meet deadlines. I call Hong Kong my home, though I'm now in New York City, and am studying at Columbia Journalism School. I met Lucie during our first year at Scripps, when she was moving into our residence hall! I was blissfully taking my morning shower when she knocked on our shared toilet door, wondering who on earth would be showering at 9am on move-in day (she would later find out that since I was an international student, I had arrived days earlier). I then poked my head out to introduce myself and that was our very first interaction! We were suitemates during our first and second years of college, during which Lucie took care of me often by making sure I ate my meals and turned off my lights. Afterwards, we continued to be close friends, and she is easily one of the most generous, fun-loving, and caring people I know. ♥️ Before Lucie ever met Tim, she would always talk about being swept off her feet by an Australian man. And lo and behold, it happened! She found her Australian man, and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate her bridal era with her.

Jacob

Best Man

I am Jacob, one of Tim's closest and oldest friends, and the best man. I currently live in Geelong with my long term girlfriend Kytashia and work for the local City Council as a Building Inspector. I have known Tim for as long as I can remember! We grew up together as family friends, cricket teammates, classmates and rivals on the football field which has resulted in a close and everlasting friendship. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Lucie in early 2023 and definitely left a lasting impression! One of my favourite memories with Tim and Lucie was when I first met Lucie. We had a long day of breweries, watching the football and eventually heading out on the town in Melbourne. I am super excited and looking forward to an amazing Wedding Day watching Tim and Lucie tie the knot!

Martin

Father of the Groom

I'm Martin Hill, also Tim's dad. I've 'come off the bench' for a groomsman that won't be able to make the wedding. Been Tim's dad for all his life! I am married to Loretta, who is Tim's step mum and we are recently retired. The wedding will be my 2nd visit to the USA. Lived and worked for about 6 months in 1990 in Manhattan with Tim's mum Kerrie. I take lots of photos and play competitive tennis. Favorite memory with Tim is pretty difficult as there have been so many since his birth. One that comes to mind is Tim's parent teacher conference when he was in 10th grade, the year Tim decided to become a chef and started an apprenticeship. He was still doing limited schoolwork and working in the restaurant 3 days a week. After about 3 months he decided that being a chef wasn't for him, and he returned to school full time. At the parent teacher conference, I was very shocked to find out that Tim had gone to his teachers and asked for all the work he had missed and then DID IT ALL to catch up. Tim wasn't a particularly diligent student, but something changed at this time, and he subsequently went on to complete a law degree. He still loves to cook and one of my favorite meals is the Christmas lunch Tim cooked for us in Paris, in a tiny kitchen with limited resources. Lucie has had a big impact on our family in fairly a short period of time. One of my favorite memories with Lucie was our first Thanksgiving dinner where she shared with us some of her own family traditions.

Nathan

Groomsman

I am Tim's older brother and the middle of the three of us (with Jeremy being the oldest). Lucie is an extremely welcome addition to our family and gets along amazingly well with my wife too. My favorite memory of them together is definitely the effort they put into Australian thanksgiving last year. You could tell from the food that both of them had gone to an immense amount of effort. Following that, Lucie leaving her toilet paper with Tim before departing for the States due to COVID when there was an extreme shortage would be a close second hahaha

Jeremy

Groomsman

I am the oldest of the Hill brothers and it's my privilege to be part of Tim and Lucie's special day. Having had my own wedding back in April I can appreciate the level of work involved in planning such a day, even more so when it's on the other side of the world to where you currently live! It's been great getting to know Lucie over the last couple of years in particular and she's slotted into our family dynamic here in Australia seamlessly. It's clear to all who know Tim and Lucie that they make a great couple. A highlight of our time all together was Christmas last year when Lucie's parents joined us in Melbourne for Christmas and Lucie gifted my now wife a plush toy capybara which takes pride of place on our bed at home. I'm sure the Australian Thanksgiving lunches will also continue to be a staple in our calendar for many years to come. We're looking forward to joining everyone in Portland for such a terrific occasion and meeting Lucie's US family and friends

Indi

Groomsman

Hi, I’m Indi. I grew up in Mildura, moved away when I was 18 and I am now 27 and currently living in Melbourne. Growing up, Tim and I crossed paths playing local sport against each other but it wasn’t until we were about 13-14 that we actually hung out, as we had a lot of mutual friends, and now I consider Tim as one of my closest friends. I was actually one of, if not the first, of Tim’s friends to meet Lucie very early-on in their relationship and it has been an honour and privilege to watch it develop over the years by their side. I have so many good memories of Tim and Lucie over the years that I will cherish forever. From Tim asking me to be a part of the ‘Walk for Hills’ in support of the John Logan Foundation in 2014 to going to concerts like Nothing But Thieves and Khruangbin together. But my favorite memories are the ones where it’s just the three of us going to a cafe or a restaurant or a pub that they have been dying to try and of course the food is great every time but I enjoy the company just as much. I have a lot of love for these two and I am very honoured that they asked me to be a part of their special day. I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the both of them and making more memories together!

Tyler

Groomsman

The name is Tyler... I'm 27 years old, currently working as a roof truss detailer. Living in my home town of Mildura, country Victoria. I have known Tim since Primary school and have been great mates ever since. I met Lucie through Tim when he was living in Mildura. I have many great memories of Tim and Lucie, can't say I can pick a favourite one. But the best times together have been with friends and enjoying each other's company, filled with plenty of laughter. Looking forward to celebrating Tim & Lucie June 2026, in such a great location, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
