Our wedding ceremony will take place in Illinois on a separate date from the reception in Nantes, France. The reception will be held at Golf De Nantes in France on July 25, 2025, starting at 6 PM. Please check our website regularly for updates to the schedule as more details become available.
Guests are expected to provide their own transportation to the reception venue. We will provide a return shuttle taxi service departing from the reception venue at 2:00 AM on the morning of July 26, with drop-off at Place Graslin in downtown Nantes. The group shuttle will only stop at Place Graslin. If you require a different drop-off location, please arrange your own transportation or refer to the wedding website for local taxi options.
We recommend checking your lodging’s location in relation to Place Graslin before arriving. If you’re staying farther away, you can use the taxi service option listed in the travel page or arrange your own transportation from Place Graslin.
Uber does operate in Nantes, but availability can be limited, especially late at night or outside the city center. We suggest having a backup plan in place. Lyft does NOT operate in Nantes, France.
There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Nantes due to environmental policies in France, which limit short domestic flights. You can fly to Nantes with a connecting flight through cities like Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Dublin, Berlin, Brussels, or Amsterdam.
We recommend arriving in Nantes at least one or two days before the reception to give yourself time to settle in and explore the city. This will also ensure you have ample time to adjust to any travel delays and be well-rested for the celebration. More information on our schedule will be provided when available.
Nantes offers several convenient transportation options: tramways, buses, local trains, certain ferry boats, rideshares, taxis, and bike rentals. Naolib Public Transit (which services trams, buses, and ferry boats) is free on Saturdays and Sundays. You can purchase Naolib ticket booklets for weekday trips at any Bureau de Tabac (newspaper stand). Additionally, Nantes is a bike-friendly city with rental options and many pedestrian-friendly areas for walking.
The dress code is cocktail attire. Cocktail attire is a semi-formal dress code typically consisting of knee-length or midi dresses for women and suits or blazers with dress pants for men, aiming for a polished yet relaxed elegant look.
We kindly ask that you refer to your invitation for details regarding plus-ones. If your invitation includes a plus-one, they are more than welcome to join!
The venue is located in a neighboring community outside of Nantes, and the hotels we recommend are centrally located in Nantes. Transportation will be needed to and from the reception venue. We will provide more information on transportation options as soon as we have the details.
