We recommend booking your flights about 6 to 8 months before the wedding to get the best prices and flight options. You will be flying into Rome Fiumicino "Leonardo da Vinci" Airport. It is about a 35 minute car ride from the airport to the hotel. Rome is a popular destination, especially in the spring, so planning ahead will make things much smoother. Let us know if you need any tips or help along the way — we’re happy to assist!

We’ve gotten a few questions about flights, so here’s what we’ve experienced and recommend when flying to Rome: 1. American Airlines: Good overall experience. Served a meal and a snack. Also includes variety of drink options with flight. Overnight direct flight helped with jet lag — we slept most of the way. We sat in a two-seat aisle row, which was great for couples, but note these seats are often near the bathrooms. 2. Norse Atlantic Airways: Very budget-friendly — sometimes around $500 round-trip. Fewer amenities: no meals, no Wi-Fi, and extras come at a cost. Worked perfectly fine for us; we brought our own snacks and drinks. 3. Delta Air Lines: We’ve flown Delta as well and had a solid experience. Reliable service and a good overall choice for flying to Rome. Served a meal and a snack. Also includes variety of drink options with flight. 4. ITA Airways: We recommend AVOIDING ITA based on our experience. We had multiple issues including overbooking and cancelations, and the food wasn’t great.

Rome Hotel Recommendations If you plan to spend time in Rome before or after the wedding, here are a few places we’ve stayed and enjoyed. All are centrally located, offer breakfast, and are clean, charming options at different price points and styles. 1. GCF Luxury Suites – Guest House A cozy bed-and-breakfast–style guesthouse inside an apartment building, located near the Spanish Steps. Cute, intimate, and a great option for guests who prefer a boutique feel. 2. Otivm Hotel A traditional hotel with a rooftop and a variety of room options, including more budget-friendly rooms without a view. Centrally located and walkable to many major sites. 3. Casa Fabbrini A charming apartment-style stay with a warm, homey atmosphere. Breakfast is included. Note that communication is typically via WhatsApp, and Wi-Fi may be less reliable, but the space itself is lovely and very well located.
