We're Getting Married!

Lucas and Madie's journey began in 2021 at a country concert in Minnesota. It was a warm summer evening, filled with laughter and music, when Lucas approached Madie, who was enjoying the night with her girlfriends. Sparks didn’t quite fly during their first encounter—Madie wasn’t looking for a relationship and, feeling a little shy, she blew him off. Lucas walked away, chuckling at the awkwardness of it all. Fast forward to the next weekend, and fate had other plans. Madie was out with her best friend in her hometown of Stillwater when she noticed a familiar face across the bar. They kept locking eyes, and Madie couldn’t shake the feeling that she knew him. As the night came to a close, Lucas, confident and determined, made his way over to her. Their conversation flowed effortlessly, and he was quick to ask for her number—ensuring it was real by calling her on the spot. Over the next few days, he suggested fun date ideas, but Madie played hard to get. Eventually, she gave in, and they went on their first date. Lucas took her to his favorite taco spot and surprised her with a picnic overlooking the beautiful skyline of St. Paul. From that moment on, their bond grew stronger, and they quickly found themselves falling for each other. Just three weeks after their first date, Madie made a big leap and moved to Colorado. They embraced the challenge of long-distance for a year, finding joy in weekend visits filled with camping trips, new restaurants, and endless adventures. Finally, Lucas followed her to Colorado, where they enjoyed living together and making memories in the breathtaking landscapes. But life had more adventures in store! After a year of shared experiences, Madie decided to pursue her passion for travel nursing, leading her to Connecticut, while Lucas embarked on a journey in Scotland for commercial diving school. Distance couldn’t weaken their connection; they stood by each other through every challenge. In April 2024, their paths converged once again as they settled in Boston. Madie continued her travel nursing career, while Lucas began his new role as a commercial diver. Their life together was filled with exploration and excitement, but the best was yet to come. On August 24, 2024, surrounded by his brother and best friends, Lucas chose the perfect moment to propose. Down by the serene waters of Boston, he asked Madie to be his forever, and she said yes! Their hearts filled with joy as they celebrated their love and commitment. Now, as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, they can’t wait to tie the knot.
