Traveling from the United States: We recommend flying into Galeão International Airport (GIG). Here are some airlines that offer routes to Rio (direct or with one stop):     •    American Airlines – Direct from Miami (MIA)     •    United Airlines – Direct from Houston (IAH) or via Newark (EWR)     •    Delta Airlines – Via Atlanta (ATL)     •    LATAM Airlines – Connections through São Paulo (GRU) or other Brazilian cities     •    Azul Airlines – Connections via Campinas (VCP) Traveling from Europe/Russia: Major cities like Lisbon, Paris, Madrid, and Frankfurt offer direct flights to Rio:     •    TAP Air Portugal – Direct from Lisbon (LIS)     •    Air France – Direct from Paris (CDG)     •    Iberia – Direct from Madrid (MAD)     •    Lufthansa – Direct from Frankfurt (FRA) Many other airlines offer easy one-stop connections through São Paulo (GRU) or other hubs as well.
