The Velasquez family is more than happy to do pick up and drop off from the airport. If you intend on staying at one of the recommended hotels, you may want to, though all are within 10-15 minutes! But be aware- that driving here can be intense, and parking can be limited.
Hot and humid! The wedding will be around dusk though and the ceremony in the evening, so no direct sun! While we are near the equator, we will do what we can to keep you cool! :)
Outside of the wedding itself, we are very casual! Sandals/flip flops, flowy sundresses, shorts, and t-shirts/tank tops! Whatever you are most comfortable in! +Honorable mention: ample sunscreen and sun coverage! (& Don't forget your bathing suit!)
Yes! We are in a non-densely-populated area where we know and love all of our neighbors. We will also be surrounded by friends and family who are mostly local. No need to worry. :)
Some, but not much! I suggest brushing up on your spanish- at least important words such as 'Buenas' [Hello] , 'Chao' [Bye] , 'Mucho gusto' [Nice to meet you] , 'Yo soy ___' [I am ___] and 'Gracias' [Thank you] Also, If you have airpods, there is an app called 'Translate' that can provide live translation on your phone if you wish!
Daniel and I are nowhere near the home-making stage, so we humbly ask for monetary contributions in hopes of having a beautiful honeymoon! :) If you would like to contribute electronically but Zola isn't working, or you want to avoid the small processing fee from Zola, you may reach out to Lauren directly for options, such as Venmo, Cashapp, and Zelle! :)
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate extra folks due to spacing and budget limitations. A family affair! We cannot wait to show you a little glimpse of Colombia, and to celebrate love and our special day with each and every one you! :)
