Admission is free, but there is a small parking fee. Enjoy a casual stroll through the outdoor nature center & learn about the local ecosystems, flora, and fauna. Or if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, hike the moderate, mile-long "upper loop" trail that ends with a panoramic view of Pleasant Valley and the hills of Camarillo.
Where it all began. This 70s-style speakeasy has a great live band on Friday and Saturday nights, an awesome DJ otherwise, and a very special place in our hearts. It's a popular spot that might have a line to get in, and will probably be a bit crowded inside. Definitely a place to dance the night away! We won't ruin the surprise, but the entryway is pretty "cool."
The Observatory building, the grounds, and the public telescopes are free. There are fees for parking and ticket costs for the Planetarium. Drive all the way up to the paid parking lot, or park for free at the base of Griffith Park and hike (really hike - athletic wear, sunscreen, and sneakers!) to this iconic lookout spot with incredible views. Look through telescopes, explore exhibits, see a live show in the Planetarium, and enjoy spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.
The Santa Monica pier is a national historic landmark that’s been around since 1909, and it's still a fun place to enjoy a variety of activities, carnival games, rides, vendor carts, and tasty bites! We played skee-ball in the arcade here the weekend we met, and we still keep our prize tickets in our wallets to this day. Along the beach, just to the south of Santa Monica Pier, you’ll find the famous Venice Beach and it’s beachfront boardwalk that features street performers, vendors, and the unique bohemian subculture it’s known for. You’ll also find high-end restaurants, retail options, rentable beach cruisers, and fun walking tours that feature some of Venice Beach’s most famously filmed spots.
This Downtown Los Angeles landmark features some 30,000 square feet of great food and retail options that celebrate the diverse and rich history that makes up LA. There is a little something for everyone here! For bonus points, head a few doors down to La Cita for a margarita on El Patio. If Rommel is there, it will be the best margarita of your life.
General Admission From $109. Ticket prices vary by day and season. Find a full day of action-packed entertainment all in one place: thrilling Theme Park rides and shows, a real working movie studio, and a collection of restaurants and cinemas at CityWalk. We especially love the World-Famous Studio Tour and highly recommend checking it out!
