It all started on a Friday night in June of 2018: Ally and her mom visited LA to see her sister, Kelly, and (now) brother in law, Bennett's new Hollywood apartment. To celebrate the move-in, they went to the grooviest 70's speakeasy bar, Good Times at Davey Wayne's. To ensure the night was a fun-filled bash Bennett sent out an invite for all his close friends - any who are smart, funny, engaging, and just overall amazing people - to join. Given the extreme nature of the requirements to join the fun, the only one to answer the (literal and metaphorical) call was Jonathan. It was while they were waiting in line for the bar - a line so often backed up that it facilitated its own Yelp page - Jonathan and Ally first met. It was an instant, undeniable connection that led to Jonathan joining the group out for the rest of the weekend as the two could not bear to be separated. A few weeks later, Jonathan flew out to Pennsylvania where they spent practically every moment together, confirming their bond. Over the course of 10 days, they saw a Ke$ha concert at flash-flood-soaked MusikFest, went to Philly for cheesesteaks and museums, and road-tripped to Niagara Falls, Pittsburgh, and the New York Finger Lakes. That October (just 4 months after they met), Jonathan flew to Pennsylvania again to help Ally pack her bags and road-trip together back to LA for good. Before much longer, they moved in together, adopted their loving cat, Oliver (a month before the Covid lockdowns), and survived an entire pandemic together unburdened by the uncertain world outside because of one thing: they had each other. On another Friday night in June (this time in 2023), Jonathan asked Ally if she wanted to go out for dinner at their favorite Indian restaurant. Unaware of his motive for asking, Ally said, “No thanks, not tonight, I don’t feel like washing my hair.” The following night at home, unable to wait any longer, Jonathan asked Ally to marry him and she said yes.
