We ask that all guests are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are unvaccinated, we will require proof of a negative COVID test taken at most 48 hours prior to the big day. We recommend this for guests traveling out of state as well.

FAQs

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. Ladies are invited to wear wear formal, floor length dresses and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or tuxedo. You may also consider using affordable, rental services like Rent the Runway or Generation Tux to rent your formal wear.

Question

Who is invited?

Answer

Due to limited venue space, we are unable to extend the invitation to children under 18. While we would love to have your little ones, we hope you can use this opportunity to enjoy yourselves! If you are bringing your little ones to Boston, we recommend using Care.com to find local childcare. On the "things to do" section of this website we have included several family friendly activities. Feel free to check out those recommendations or text Amber for suggestions on fun activities!

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in Boston in September is usually 60s-70s, but can be warmer. A light jacket for the evenings is a good idea.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at Alden Castle at 20 Chapel Street in Brookline, MA.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know by RSVPing “no,” so we can plan accordingly. If you are sure you cannot make it after receiving your Save the Date feel free to let us know as soon as possible.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The venue is about a 15 minute walk or a 6 minute drive from our hotel block. Parking is available at a nearby garage. You may also use Uber or Lyft. The venue is also accessible by train, using the Green Line.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 15 minutes to half an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is available at the Longwood Towers Parking Garage for a fee. Street parking is also possible, though spots may be hard to find.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
