If you plan to fly from Northern CA, we recommend either Southwest Airlines out of OAK or United Airlines out of SFO as they have direct flights to SBA.
SBA is a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara. Depending on your plans, you may want to rent a car or you can use Uber.
As for accommodations, the hotels below are great! A couple are within walking distance to the venues, a couple closer to the beach, and others near the airport.
