Flight
TVC (Traverse City) is the nearest commercial airport and the easiest to fly into. Grand Rapids (GRR) is the next closest airport, and is about a 3-hour drive Detroit (DTW) or Chicago (ORD) - expect to drive 4-5 hours.
Travel Note
Our wedding will take place at Bay View Weddings at Gallagher Farms, located just outside of Traverse City. While staying in Traverse City means a slightly longer drive to the venue and nearby towns, it’s a great option for those wanting a more central and lively home base for the weekend. We are currently exploring transportation and hotel options —stay tuned for updates!
House Or Rental
In addition to hotels, there are tons of cute cottages, cabins, and lake houses available for rent throughout the peninsula. If you’re planning to make a long weekend out of your trip to Northern Michigan, you can find many of these accommodations on Airbnb and Vrbo.
