It was love at first Zoom meeting. We first met on a company call during COVID—Ria working from her parents’ home in Metro Detroit, and Brigham dialing in from Grand Rapids. Just two weeks later, Ria was promoted, and Brigham made the drive to celebrate—marking the first time we met in person. The following week, the Detroit team traveled to Grand Rapids after a sales competition, giving us another chance to celebrate together. From that point on, we were inseparable—making the trip across Michigan nearly every weekend to see each other. After seven months of building our relationship (and putting plenty of miles on the car), we took the next big step—moving to Pittsburgh together to start a new beginning, both personally and professionally. While we initially made the move for work, we’ve since grown into our own careers and have proudly called Pittsburgh home for the past four years. Although we’ve loved living among the “Yinzers,” we’re excited for what’s next—and have decided to return to the great state of Michigan to cross another item off our “we’ve never done this before” list.
