The Bride calls her when she wants to stay saved real bad. But don’t be fooled, she controls the shade room in privacy of her family and sisters. Baby... it’s cold in her shade lol. Mother of 2 handsome boys who the Bride adores as her own sons. 1 of which is famous, and the other is Angelyn’s best friend.

She is referred to as being like the Lord; she may not come when you want her to but she shows up right on time! Lol. Ride or die type of love for her friend. This one don’t play about the Bride, with no one! Met as a background singer for R. Kelly in 2006, touring the states and across the world together and have been inseparable every since. Still singing across the Chicagoland Area but she does it all. She’s an esthetician and massage therapist at her own place, “Serenity Oasis Spa”. She also does makeup and the Bride always makes her do her hair. Mother of 1 loud, full of personality, super intelligent little boy named Zion. He is also a night owl like the Bride lol!

Months has passed without speaking (because of life, not issues) but as soon as they meet, it’s like they never left. She’s the person you can talk to about anything, never judges you, gives great advice, but always makes it clear that it’s what she would do. The Bride feels so blessed to have someone so genuine in her life. She may look quiet but don’t sleep on her, she knows how to move in a room and at a party lol. While she is well - known and loveable, Getaun is a boss! The Bride often thanks her for keeping her inspired. He may not be physically present with the bride on her wedding day because he’s serving our country, but he’s here with the Bride in her mind, heart and spirit. Unbeknownst of the groom's prayers, Harris in a prophetic manner uttered to the groom "she's the one son!" PCH, as he is called, has known the bride all of her life. He privately told her Kevin is the kind of man he would like to see his daughters marry, a compliment the bride was blown away by and one the groom finds humbling.

The Groom while eternally grateful for all of the the things his mother has done for him and his family, the one thing he often tells her is how thankful he is for her being obedient to the voice of God in 1985 when she sought to find a church home for herself and the family. Introducing the groom to the saving grace of Jesus Christ is something he could never repay her for. Even though she likes to dance for the Lord now, the groom knows what songs to get her up on the dance floor and show some of those moves you don't do in church LOL!

The Bride often refers to them as her daughters and she loves them like she had them. She knows they love her too. If Lauren is going somewhere to show up and show out (like her auntie, lol) she calls on her for her glam! But don’t get it twisted, Lauren comes through for the bride too and has slayed her braids down & she is the only person the bride wants to go to. La’Rissa is a great mom of 1; a baby girl the Bride affectionately calls Cabbage Patch. (Her real name is Londyn). Lauren is attending college at Xavier University of Louisiana to become a doctor with no kids. Good job Neice!

She never causes a minute of trouble. Our lovely flute player is the epitome of a perfect 1st daughter and the bride feels blessed to have such a young classy lady in her life.

He is going to get his way with his incredible super powers whether you like it or not. You can’t resist his smile, his laugh is contagious and he will make you beg for his love. He currently plays the drums wherever he goes, with anything he can find. Baby he is loyal! Practices alll day and alll night driving us allll crazy. He is also a devoted husband (Jessica), father to 4 as well as being the God father to the groom’s children. Ask him about the groom and his grocery store cart story!! 😂

These two minstrels have shared some big stages playing alongside each other and now continue to share big stages in life. Brandon a phenomenal professional drummer was instrumental in The Grooms early musical journey. Raw and honest has always been the tone of their talks. Whether critiquing or encouraging each other, these two have never let egos come in the way and have always pushed each other towards being the best they could be.

Their trademark lines between each other are connected to their love for “The Star Wars Saga”. The advice given to The Groom once Alfred was aware that The Groom was getting married was simple: “ May The Force Be with You!”

While The Groom is always pushing Adam to be the best he can be while Adam in return is always holding The Groom accountable for the walk he preaches about! A genuine respect between the two has established a solid professional and personal bond that will last for many more years.

Michelle Hicks is known for her unique character. Her tenacious abilities to get things done while putting a smile on your face has been well sought after by many. Befriending both the Bride and the Groom for some years now, made for an easy decision to have Michelle coordinate this special day. She’s reliable and radiant but she also stays READY.....
