Sean and Samantha both attended CAPA highschool. Sean was a senior when Samantha began at CAPA as a freshman. Both in the music department, Samantha was a voice major and Sean a drum major. Samantha had crush on Sean that year, but he never knew; the two never really knew each other well then even though they had mutual friends. Years later, when Samantha was in college in Columbus, Ohio, she and Sean reconnected on MySpace. After Samantha moved back to Pittsburgh, it would be several more years before the two connected for a third time. A mutual friend set up a “CAPA all year reunion” at a restaurant in downtown Pittsburgh, and unknowingly, both Samantha and Sean planned to attend. The reunion turned out to be a bust as only Sean and the organizer showed up. A few days later, Samantha was browsing match.com and came across a familiar face. She initiated the conversation with a quick “hey you! Remember me?!” Thank goodness Sean did. They met for a first “date” (which Samantha thought was just getting together to catch up) at Mad Mex on May 25, 2017. After dinner, they went to a bar to watch the Pens game before calling it a night. And the rest is history. Sean has become a wonderful father to Samantha’s son, Declan, and the family of 3 is very excited for this next chapter of their life together.
