We both started working at Kids Kampus (the children's side of Whiteface Mountain) when we were 15 and 16. However, we didn't start talking until 5 years later when we both showed up for work and there were no lessons to be taught, all of our friends were away at school, and it was a powder day.

In September of 2018 we went to Plattsburgh for some shopping and that was the first time Eric started looking for a ring. Since Eric can't keep a secret, it was easy to figure out his intentions. A few months later we returned to Plattsburgh for lunch with a friend. The plan was to meet up at the same time, but Eric and our friend showed up early. Anna immediately knew what they were up to. Eric told Anna the lie that he was unable to purchase a ring as his credit wasn't good enough, and she believed him. Upon believing him, Eric and our friend took a sigh of relief. Fast forward to a month later and Anna returned home from work to see a billing statement from the jeweler in the mail. After that Anna was on edge, anticipating when the proposal would happen. Eric was planning on proposing during a ski day at Whiteface in January. He had the perfect opportunity on a beautiful day, but he forgot to bring the ring with him. A week later we were in Montana and Anna asked if it was going to happen on the ski trip. Eric responded with "No, I didn't want to risk losing the ring during the flight." On day two of skiing the view started to clear up and Eric found his opportunity. He pretended to go to the bathroom and placed the ring in his glove before skiing half way down the mountain. When he found the perfect spot he asked our friend to take a picture of us and told an exhausted Anna that he had something stuck in his glove. He convinced her that he couldn't reach in with his larger fingers and when Anna reached in she was shocked. So with the Montana mountains in the background and everyone on skis, we became engaged.
