Glacier National Park

Mountain Biking in Whitefish

Hiking
Glacier National Park: The Highline Trail is a beautiful hike if you have the time – not strenuous, but long. The views are stunning. If you are short on time and want a quick easy hike the Trail of the Cedars to Avalanche Lake is easily accessible. Whitefish: The Danny On Trail: Hike to the top of Big Mountain. It is a great hike with views of the Flathead Valley, Glacier Park, and Canada – hike back down, or jump on the chairlift Whitefish Trails: Nice walking/biking trail system in town – less strenuous Local expert: Ken - (406) 250-2291, wenselken1@gmail.com

River rafting

Sailing
Enjoy a day of sailing on Flathead Lake. The Dayton Yacht Harbor (owned by Lindsay's dad, Buck) has Capri 22s for rent. Contact him for info or to make a reservation. Buck: (406) 261-7000
Family-Friendly: Whitefish Mountain Resort
Zip lining, alpine slides, aerial adventure, ride the gondola to the summit for a fabulous view of Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park!
Shopping in Whitefish
Whitefish has great shops on and around Central Avenue – just cruise around! Harlow is a personal fave.
City Beach in Whitefish
If you’d like to get on the water, but don’t have a boat, check out city beach. It’s a great spot with a sandy beach, public gazebos and bbqs, great views, and awesome sunsets!
