We met in 2012 while working at a clothing store together. We quickly became good friends, slowly transitioned into dating, and made things official in 2015. We got married soon after our five-year anniversary.
On December 7, 2019, Jon took Molly to one of her favorite spots, The Orange Circle (Old Town Orange), to wander through the vintage stores, have some dinner, and enjoy the Christmas decorations. Jon got down on one knee and proposed in front of the twinkling lights of the large Christmas tree. It was perfect.
We got married on Friday, June 5th, 2020!
After the courthouse temporarily closed, our best option was a private civil ceremony. We hired an officiant and got married at a beautiful Airbnb in Santa Ana, just us two. We spent the weekend there to celebrate and enjoy a mini honeymoon.
No. We got married on June 5, 2020 and our reception is happening on June 12, 2021, just after our one year anniversary! Our reception is about celebrating our marriage with our loved ones for the first time. So there will be dinner, drinks, dessert, and lots of dancing!
We have chosen a venue with a capacity over three times the amount of people we have invited. We want to make sure everyone has plenty of space to feel comfortable. The venue also has a patio with two doors leading inside. These doors will be open to help circulate fresh air, and the patio will have seating for anyone who would like to take a break outside. We will sit people strategically to ensure that everyone has plenty of space, and we will have extra seating available, as well. The venue also has extensive safety protocols in place for every employee. They will be wearing masks and gloves, and they will have their temperature taken. We want our guests to feel as safe and comfortable as possible!
The venue, and us as a couple, will not be requiring any specific safety measures in order to attend our reception. However, we want all of our guests to feel safe and comfortable. We have a few recommendations that will help make the event safe and enjoyable for us all. 1. Vaccine appointments in California are currently open to everyone 16 years and older. We are vaccinated, and we recommend this safety measure to anyone who plans on attending any large gatherings, such as our reception. 2. We consistently limit our exposure to others, and wear masks in public settings. We recommend this for our guests leading up to our reception. 3. If you are not vaccinated, we recommend you wear a mask to our reception for your safety and the safety of others. 4. If you are vaccinated, but you are using airport travel and/or are exposed to unvaccinated people before our reception, we recommend you wear a mask. Thank you for being safe and considerate; we can't wait to celebrate together!
