If you are looking to get some sunshine during your stay, there are tons of hikes available nearby. This hike is family friendly with zero elevation gain. Go anywhere from 1/4 mile to 30+ miles.
If any of our California guests find themselves to be a little homesick, stop by the little German town of Leavenworth for the same European charm you can find in Solvang! If you are a fan of tacky gift shops and pretzels (what more could you want!?) then you definitely have to make a day trip. Leavenworth also recently opened up their very own alpine coaster, beat that Solvang!
