We want all of our guests to feel comfortable and not be worried about having to find a specific outfit to fit a specific theme. That's why we didn't choose a specific dress code. Please feel free to wear whatever you want and whatever makes you comfortable (and warm)! Although, we do ask that you refrain from costumes, sports jerseys, and sweatpants.
If your invitation is addressed to your family, your kids are invited and included in our guest count. However, please keep in mind that our venue is on top of a mountain... literally. Therefore, young kids will need to be supervised to ensure they stay clear from the side of the mountain and to avoid possible injuries. We recommend treating yourself for the night with a babysitter so you can take the night off and enjoy yourself!
Parking at our venue is quite limited and is generally reserved for our vendors. Therefore, we have a shuttle that will take you to and from our venue. If you stay in one of the recommended hotels or cabins, the shuttle will pick you up directly from your lodging. If you prefer to drive yourself, or if you're local and don't want to stay in Pigeon Forge for the night, there is a parking lot about 7 minutes from the venue, near the Smoky Mountain Ziplines, where the shuttle will pick you up. The address for that parking lot is: 509 Mill Creek Rd. Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.
We want to be able to spend as much time with our guests as possible. We know weddings can be chaotic for the bride and groom. We chose Friday in hopes that most guests would stay in the area through Sunday, so we can spend more time with our friends and family on Saturday.
We initially hoped to get married at Emily's Uncle's River House, but logistically, we couldn't make it work. We decided to look at Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge venues, because some of our favorite memories together are driving through the mountains. The Magnolia is literally at the top of a mountain. It's a private, secluded venue and has beautiful views.
