We have many people to thank for our relationship coming to be, first, of course God's amazing plan as we look back at how He led the two of us together. When Erica moved to Virginia Beach with the Navy she immediately got plugged in at Bayside Church of Christ where Nathan and his family attended. His mom and sisters took her in as a friend and daughter from the beginning, but it wasn't until about a year later the Dennys were preparing for Coffee House, our church talent show, when Chris asked Erica to play flute on a song with them. This was her opportunity! Gradually, Erica and Nathan spent more time together, and when Erica was on a trip with the youth group, one of the girls convinced her to text Nathan! They continued talking, played many pickleball matches, and started dating in April of 2025. For Coffee House 2026, Nathan surprised Erica by serenading her with a song, and proposing to her to close the show. We are so excited for the next stage of our relationship, and are excited for you all to witness our marriage! -Nathan and Erica
