Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Morgan Greer and Louie Romero
We have highlighted a couple of great things to do and places to visit if you have extra time while you’re here in Carlsbad. New Mexico has a lot of amazing things to offer, so if you’re looking for additional recommendations in Southeastern New Mexico please reach out to us and we’d love to give you more ideas of how to spend your time here in the Land of Enchantment!
Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Carlsbad Caverns National Park

727 Carlsbad Caverns Highway, Carlsbad, NM 88220

For all of our out of state visitors we highly recommend exploring the Carlsbad Caverns if you have a day or half day available to you! It’s an incredible experience that you shouldn’t miss out on! We recommend setting aside 4-5 hours to allow time for travel and exploring the caverns. Please visit their website link for more information. We hope you enjoy it!

Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park

Living Desert Zoo & Gardens State Park

1504 Skyline Road, Carlsbad, NM 88220

The Living Desert is a quick and easy way to spend a couple of hours in Carlsbad! The zoo offers a look at native New Mexico plants and wildlife. It is located in Carlsbad city limits and is easy to find and get to. We recommend setting aside at least 1-2 hours to enjoy the park! Please see website link for more information.

Nurvis Purvis Brewing Co

Nurvis Purvis Brewing Co

1602 North Canal Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220

Nurvis Purvis is a brewery that is new to Carlsbad. The brewery offers a fun and retro vibe and is a great place to spend some down time. The brewery is located right around the corner from the wedding location and is a convenient place to grab a couple drinks right before the wedding. We hope you enjoy it!

Lake Carlsbad Beach Park

Lake Carlsbad Beach Park

708 Park Drive, Carlsbad, NM 88220

If you’re looking to get outside but want to stay close by we recommend heading down to the Carlsbad Beach and Riverwalk area. It’s a great and easy place to walk around near the Pecos River that runs through our town. There are also pickleball and tennis courts that are free to the public for those who like to play.
