We're getting married!

In April 2021 we matched on a dating app, and had our first date at Paradise Springs Winery. The vineyards were in full bloom, and the atmosphere was perfect for a first date. As we sipped on a rich Merlot and explored the winery, our connection was undeniable. The evening was filled with laughter and meaningful conversations, setting the stage for what was to come.

Our second date was an adventure that would become a memorable milestone in our relationship. We planned a hike through a nearby state park, eager to enjoy the scenic views and each other's company. However, our enthusiasm got the better of us, and we soon found ourselves lost. Despite the unexpected detour, we felt a sense of excitement and camaraderie as we navigated through the woods together. Getting lost turned out to be a bonding experience that deepened our connection.

It was a beautiful autumn day in October 2024 at the Maryland 5 Star CCI5*-L event. We had set up a cozy tailgating spot with our families and our dog, Loki. As we enjoyed a round of mimosas, Jonathan took Ashley's hand and led her to a quiet spot near their tailgating area. Loki, sensing something special, stayed close by their side. Jonathan got down on one knee, pulled out a small box, and asked Ashley to marry him. When she said yes the group erupted in cheers and applause. As we hugged and celebrated, the cross-country competition continued in the background, but for us, nothing else mattered. It was a moment we would cherish forever, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the thrill of the equestrian world.
