Welcome to our wedding website! Here's the story of how Matt and Ariel met during the most unexpected time of our lives. In February of 2021, Matt had reached out to Ariel after being set up by his childhood friend and girlfriend. That kickstarted an almost two-month string of nonstop text messages and Facetimes until the end of March when Matt drove 3 hours to meet Ariel for the first time. Shortly after meeting for the first time, they agreed to try long-distance and became an official couple. This started a 2 1/2-year long-distance relationship as Ariel was from New York and still in college at the time and Matt was in Connecticut kickstarting his career. In June of 2023, Ariel accepted a teaching job in Rhode Island and the two decided to end the long-distance and move in together in August. In April of 2024, Matt and Ariel went on vacation with the same couple responsible for setting them up over three years prior and he asked Ariel to marry him.
