The Wedding Website of Lottie Johnston and Jeff Jagels
Orcas Island is an incredible place to visit, but unfortunately can be tricky to get to. The 2 main methods are to fly into SeaTac airport and catch a shuttle up to Anacortes Ferry Landing, or to drive to Anacortes. From there you can either drive or walk onto the Orcas ferry. If anything looks confusing, that's because it is! Please reach out to us if you have any questions or need help booking shuttles/ferry reservations/finding a carpool. Thanks for making the trek!

Shuttle

Parking

August 1, 2026 11:30 am - 7:00 pm

Important parking note! The wedding will be taking place at Orcas Isle Cider (4797 Orcas Rd, Eastsound WA), however we sadly cannot fit more than 40 cars at the farm itself! We’re working on a list to direct guests to either park on the farm, or to park at the Orcas Island Yacht Club down the road (where they will be shuttled to the farm). We will prioritize farm parking for guests who may need easy access to their vehicles throughout the day (i.e. families with young kids) so please stay tuned and check back here to see where you will be parking on Saturday. If we direct you to park at the yacht club but you require easy car access, please let us know and we will sort it out!

Driving onto the ferry from Anacortes to Orcas

The ferry service out of Anacortes, WA will take you to Orcas Island at set times throughout the day; you can see the schedule on the WSDOT website (linked below). If you plan to bring a car to the island you will likely need a vehicle reservation since the car spots fill quickly in the summer. Note that your reservation and your ticket are separate purchases, and you can either get your ticket online when making your reservation or you can just pay on arrival. On WSDOT.com, you can choose a time and make a reservation. If you are having trouble booking the time/day that you'll need, the website releases more spots 2 months, 2 weeks, and 2 days before your desired sailing date at 7:00am PST. Standby is always an option, but you could end up waiting many hours to drive onto a ferry. If you plan to rent a car, SeaTac airport will have options, or you could shuttle up to Anacortes and rent a car there before driving onto the ferry!

Walking onto the ferry from Anacortes to Orcas

If you don't plan to drive onto the ferry, it's much easier to board the ferry as all you'll need to do is walk into the waiting room at the ferry landing and purchase a walk-on ticket to Orcas. To get to the landing you can either drive and park long-term (there are multiple parking options for the landing that are around $8-$10 per day), or there are shuttle services from SeaTac airport to Anacortes that makes stops in between. Once arriving to Orcas, you can rent a car for the weekend with Orcas Island Rental Car (call ahead!) or carpool with other guests. Note: Getting around Orcas without a car can be difficult, so we recommend setting up a carpool (which we can help with if you aren't acquainted with other guests!)

Taking the shuttle to Anacortes Ferry Landing

There are a few different shuttle services to pick you up from SeaTac airport and bring you to the Anacortes ferry landing, the most popular being Bellair. You can book on their website. Once arriving to the island, you can rent a car for the weekend with Orcas Island Rental Car (call ahead!) or we can help arrange a carpool / pick-up.
