She worked at Olive Garden and Lori just so happened to be friends with all the other servers there. Lori and Mandi didn't get along at the beginning 7 year ago , but after countless phone calls, happy hours, and several moves... now Lori can't imagine not having her around! She has all the inside jokes about Wesley, knows way too many of Lori's secrets, and has been there from the very beginning of Lori and Wesley's relationship. If it weren't for Mandi's help 'Facebook stalking' Wes, Lori never would have known he was single and would have had no idea he was even interested in her. (Thanks Mandi!)

Chris and Wesley first met in their sophomore year of high school in 2003. Their friendship grew throughout high school and continued on through the college years, where Wesley facilitated how Chris met his wife. Wesley had the pleasure of being Chris's best man and now he is returning the favor.

Lori and Whitney were both in band in 7th and 8th grade. They had similar likes and dislikes but didn't really know it. After a few long talks in the hallway and a birthday party for Whitney, we've been inseparable ever since! 20+ years of friendship and still going strong. Whitney is a best friend, confidant, and partner in crime

Matt and Wesley first met when they were both security officers at Rivers. Their friendship grew over their love for the Chive and board games. Over the years Wesley and Matt shared many good times going to Chive meetups together.

Maggie has been friends with Wesley since college. When Wes and Lori started dating, Wes had to introduce Lori to his friends, luckily Lori and Maggie got along well! A Dr. Who buddy, a fellow mom, and a book worm. These are just a small part of the great friendship that has bloomed.

Mark and Wesley have gone to school together since junior high. They became friends in high school, along Chris (Best Man). Many shenanigans were had together over the years as their friendship grew.

Leslie Abbott

Leslie met Wesley during college, they became friends through her now husband John. Leslie was one of the first friends that Wesley introduced Lori to. Luckily, they both love being nerds and spending time with family, especially their children- trading mom stories is fun! Leslie was one of the first friends to tell Lori that though Wesley may look and act big and tough (because he is), he's the sweetest man you'll ever meet. And she was right!

John Abbott

John and Wesley first met in college at ISU when they lived across the hall from each other in the dorm. This started a long time friendship that included many shenanigans and living off campus together for 2 years. During college Wesley got to be present when John met his now wife, Leslie, and had the pleasure of standing up in their wedding. College friendships tend to fizzle away after graduation, but John and Wesley remained friends and continued the good times .

Amy Chow

Amy is Wes' baby sister and they (usually) get along great. Amy is the reason Wesley has watched every Mary-Kate and Ashley video out there and in return, Amy helped Wes find his favorite winner activity- snowboarding. Lori is excited to gain a sister and couldn't have chose a better one! Wes and Lori are lucky that Amy spends time with them, usually 'Aunt Amy' is the one who gets to talk all about Minecraft with Alex at any family outing. Thank goodness she's already the best Aunt as she indulges Alex in his Minecraft discussions (which saves Lori and Wes from figuring out what Minecraft is).

Andrew Smith

Andrew and Wesley were both day one employees in security at Rivers Casino. Over the years Andrew kept trying to get Wesley to come out to the board game night he hosts at Durty Nellies bar. Once Wesley went to game night, he found a new hobby. Game night is where Wesley first met Lori and where he proposed. Andrew and Wesley also lived together with their friend Kevin for 3 years before Wesley moved to Kenosha (Lori appreciates that this helped Wes be ready for handling a household - thanks Andrew!!) Andrew helped introduce Wesley and Lori, and if it weren't for him this relationship might not exist. Needless to say, Lori and Wesley are both grateful to have Andrew around!
