Casual attire. Dressing up is fine also. Think comfort and summer fun. Ladies, heels are not recommended for walking on the grass. Bring dancing shoes if you would like to dance. Weather permitting we will be outside for ceremony. Cocktail hour and reception are on patio and in barn. Big fans, no AC, so be comfortable, like an outdoor concert in the summer, with wonderful country breezes and open air venue.
We hope that everyone feels safe in this open space and the outdoors. Social distancing is feasible. Masks are optional and also acceptable attire, if desired. If you have not been vaccinated, no worries, you are welcomed. We will have green, yellow, and red bands for you to wear to indicate your comfort level with hugs, distance, or close contact.
Yes. Please let us know and add to RSVP.

There's a large parking lot on the farm property.
Please follow the directions posted and sent in your invitation. If you follow GPS from I-83 onto MD 439, it will direct you to take Jolly Acres Road from 439. This is an unpaved, extremely narrow, and winding road. It's quite treacherous in a few places. If you are adventurous, go for it, you will feel transported to the middle of the wilderness in Montana. However, for your own safety, ease of travel, and shorter travel, take 439 to Rte 23, as the directions have outlined. GPS it after that.
We wanted to celebrate our wedding in an outdoor setting and a barn. This beautiful Pond View Farm is close to our home and in an area that we love, in the outdoors. It's a family run farm and has a great history, and we fell in love with place and thought it would a gorgeous place on a Sunday in the summer. It's a little far for some to drive, but we hope everyone has a great time driving out into the country on a Sunday afternoon in the summer.
There are hotels listed on this website Location. The closest ones are in Shrewsbury or Hunt Valley.
Shhh - we're not telling. Be surprised. See photos for a sneak preview of our shoes.
The ceremony will be celebrated by a close friend of Lori's, Pastor Karen Brau. She is a Lutheran pastor of a church in DC, called Luther Place. They met at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church when Lori and friends and colleagues from Johns Hopkins School of Nursing developed a program for families in East Baltimore called The Amazing Grandmothers' Project. Pastor Karen was the pastor at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church during that time and together they created this support program for those grandmothers. It will not be a Catholic mass, but will be a marriage ceremony that is prayerful, worshipful, and meaningful, led by Pastor Karen Brau and inclusive of our Catholic heritage and continued Catholic Church affiliations with Nativity Church, and our Small Group Prayer Group who will participate in the service.
We hope that this wedding ceremony and our festive celebration will be amazing for everyone, post-Covid lockdown reunions and reconnections. Enjoy a cocktail hour and socializing, accompanied by the musician, Jacob Panic, playing banjo. Come prepared to have fun in the photo booth. Send along your favorite songs so we can make sure the DJ plays your tunes. Dancing and more dancing. Savor great food, raised on this farm, for a true farm to table event, buffet style. A first dance by Kevin and Lori that we hope will make you laugh, At Last.
We will have a vegan lasagna. Some cupcakes will be gluten free. If you have other dietary concerns, add those to your RSVP - there's a place to add that info. If you have a special beverage request, let us know.
