What happens when you go to an elementary school reunion? You may just meet the love of your life. It is SMALLTIMORE after all. Kevin & Lori had been living life in the same circles since 1966. Yet, it wasn’t until 2017 when their circles officially crossed and the stars finally aligned. They had their first sighting at the epic St. Matthews Reunion on October 14, 2017. They began to chat, Lori first noticing Kevin’s fashionable shoes and Kevin noticing that this was no ordinary encounter. The conversation was fun and flirtatious as they discovered a shared love for Baltimore and numerous other connections. They actually grew up in the same neighborhood, their homes were just one street apart; paths crossing, but not yet destined to meet. At St. Matthew’s, they were actually in the same class. Both had lived at various times in their lives in Jarrettsville and the Hamilton neighborhood in Baltimore. Three months later, another Smalltimore gathering brought Kevin & Lori together again on January 27, 2018. Another reunion - for 2 neighborhood bars, hangouts when Kevin & Lori were in their younger years. Call it chemistry or charm city, common history or shared interests, God’s destiny or a plan for the future, they chatted all evening. Finally, Kevin asked the intriguing question, “What should we do next?” Lori said, “Maybe we should get together!” Their first date was Super Bowl Sunday, February 4, 2018, and the rest is history as the K&L Smalltimore Love Story unfolded. Three years later, on Christmas day 2020, in the year of Covid lockdown, Kevin surprised Lori with a romantic proposal. She said, “YES”. They are so excited to celebrate their wedding day with family and friends. They feel grateful that God has truly, "at last", not only led them to cross each others' path, but to bless their lives as they now walk down the path together. “What should we do next?”, he had asked. She can now respond, “Grow old with me, the best is yet to be!”
