On Christmas Eve 2018, Susan had no idea that Loren was going to be popping the question. The two of them had dinner and opened presents at Loren’s parents house like they usually did. Everyone was trying to decide if they were going to go to Christmas Eve church service but decided against it as they were tired, so Loren and Susan headed home. Susan was still unsuspecting of what was to come. On Christmas Morning, Loren and Susan celebrated in their pajamas with mimosas and pancakes as they watched the Disney Christmas Parade on tv. The two then decided to open presents as they had to leave soon for Loren’s Aunt and Uncle’s house in Manhattan, KS. Of course the cats opened their presents first- treats, a play tunnel, and a mouse house. Loren and Susan then took turns opening presents. There was one final present which Loren handed to Susan. She still had no suspicion. Susan unwrapped the present and opened the box. Inside the box was a paper heart. Susan looked up at Loren confused and he smiled at her. Still confused she looked back down at the heart. When she looked back up, Loren was fumbling in his pocket and pulled out a box. He got on one knee, opened the box, and asked Susan to marry her. Susan didn’t believe him at first and asked if he was serious. He said yes and asked her again. Susan said yes of course, and here we are today!
