There is so much to explore in Downtown Stevens Point. Here are a few of our favorites: The Wooden Chair Wicked Willow The Big Garlic Graffiti's Bill's Pizza The Coffee Studio Bound to Happen Books Galaxy Comics Agora Makers Market
El Mezcal (El Mez) is one of our favorite places to eat. In fact, we like it so much, it will be our main course!
This is a favorite and hidden gem in our community. Mama Mai's is small family restaurant that serves delicious Southeast Asian foods. Whatever you try, you surely won't be disappointed. And be sure to grab some peanut sauce!
If you are looking for a fulling buffet with hot tasty food that won't break the bank, China Wok is the way to go. This a favorite and frequent spot for the bride and groom.
Zest is a small coffeehouse and bakery located near the UW-Stevens Point campus. While small, they shouldn't be underestimated! They offer delicious cold and hot drinks, a monthly rotating menu of themed lattes, decadent bakery treats, and a small menu of wraps, soups, sandwiches and salads that are always made fresh.
Olympia is a a Greek restaurant that serves breakfast all day with lunch and dinner options. The couple loves to visit the spot on the occasional weekend morning for a hearty and filling breakfast. Loren's usual is the Eggs Benedict Florentine breakfast plate while Sam favors a Gyro or the French dip sandwich.
We know this one may be controversial, but hear us out. The preferred ice cream spot for a lot of locals is Belts' Soft Serve; a well deserved second place. While delicious, Carl D's takes the number one spot for us. First, they accept credit card while Belts' does not. We enjoy the lactose free soft serve, variety of toppings, sizes and mix-ins, making it a great spot to visit for a frozen treat.
Are you even in Wisco if you don't visit a Kwik Trip?? Loren and Sam have spent many mornings at Kwik Trip filling up their gas tank and warming up their tummies with piping hot coffee and tasty breakfast sandwiches. Loren has brought many Kwik Trip treats to the delight of her colleagues (those old fashioned donuts and glazers man, they'll getcha).
Gaming Generations or Gaming Gen is a small store that sells used video games and consoles. As an avid gamer and vintage game collector, Sam has been a patron of the Stevens Point Gaming Generations location for over a decade. Over the years, he has received many great recommendations from the knowledgeable staff, created strong rapport, and built friendships over the shared passion.
